Title: Never Gonna Be Alone
By: Daisyangel
Pairing: gen
Rating: PG
A/n: written for the fanfic challenge round 2 pairing and movie or song title over at chichat on Author's Corner. My pairing was Haley Hotchner and Will Lamontagne. My song title was "Never Gonna Be Alone" by Nickelback. I don't own CM or the song. The plot is mine. This isn't usually the pairing I write and this kind of story is different for me, so any and all constructive feedback would be appreciated.
Summary: Haley and Will watch over their loved ones.

"I can't believe it's been a year since we died," Haley Hotchner commented as she stood next to Will Lamontagne. They were looking down from heaven on the familys they'd left on earth.

"I know, a lots changed in that year, huh?" Will agreed as he watched JJ with Henry toddling next to her walk over to Hotch and Jack and wrap her arms around him kissing him softly before leaning down and placing a kiss on Jack's forehead.

"Yeah, but I'm glad they found each other. Aaron was so broken after I died at the hands of Foyet," Haley said.

"JJ was the same a month later when that cop came to tell her I'd been in that car accident. It was a drunk driver who hit me and he came away without a scratch."

"Wow, how unfair, he didn't have anyone and you had JJ and Henry."

"I know but he'll have his day," Will said softly as he watched the two widowed parents play with the two little boys. The two angels could hear the conversation from below. -

"It's been a year, can you believe it, Aaron?" JJ asked.

"No, it's been a tough year," he commented.

"Yes, but we've come out stronger for it," she replied.

"That's true, and we have these two to thank for that," Hotch said hugging Jack and Henry as they stood in front of Will and Haley's graves.

"Daddy?"

"Yes Jack?"

"Do you think Mommy and Henry's daddy are watching us? Are they angels?" Haley tried to blink back the tears at her little boys question, but couldn't. Reaching out Will squeezed her hand as he watched the scene unfolding with teary eyes as well. Trying to wipe away his tears the unit chief picked up Jack and hugged him.

"Yes, Jack, mommy and Henry's daddy are looking down on us and they're your and Henry's guardian angels."

"Okay, Daddy. Can Henry and me give them the flowers now?" Hotch nodded as he placed the little boy on the ground. Smiling widely he grabbed Henry's hand and pulled him to the graves clutching the two sets of flowers in the other one. JJ and Hotch clasped hands as they watched the two boys talk to Will and Haley. Haley gasped and covered her mouth when she caught sight of the engagement ring on JJ's finger.

"What is it, Haley?" Will asked.

"He asked her to mary him. He and Jack came out her a week or so ago to ask my permission," she explained.

"JJ and Henry came out here a couple days ago and told me that she thought he was going to ask her.

"At least they're not alone anymore," Haley said wistfully. Will could see the tears gathering in her eyes and could hear her unspoken words. She thought she'd be all alone now. Reaching out he took her hand and squeezed it.

"You're never gonna be alone again, Haley. We'll always be together watching over our family and each other," Will vowed. Haley smiled just as the strains of a song began to make themselves known. A matching smile crossed Will's face when he realized it was "Never Gonna Be Alone Again" by Nickelback.

"Looks like the big guy is agreeing with us," Haley commented as she watched Hotch and JJ neal by the graves and say a few words before grabbing the boys hands and heading off into the sunshine.
