Morgan and Reid stood in the kitchen doorway and kept their voices low as they discussed the pouting children in the living room. "Derek, you always make me the enforcer. They'll never respect you if you don't discipline them."

Morgan frowned. "I've punished them before."

"Name one instance and I'll let this go."

Morgan knew damn well he had never been the one to dish out a punishment. He left that messy business to Reid. "I hate being the bad parent."

Reid laughed, "I know you do, but they're five Derek. Believe me, they'll forgive you before you even finish describing what their punishment entails."

"You might be right."

"I always am."

"Are you sure you don't want to do this? I mean, they listen to you and you have that whole firm thing going on, and I've never seen you cave to them."

"Practice, practice, practice. Now go on." Reid made a little shooing motion toward the living room.

Morgan took a deep breath, squared his shoulders, and walked over to the sofa where the twins were sitting. He knelt down in front of the sofa.

"Charlie, Josh, what did your dad and I tell you about hitting?"

Charlie, always the more vocal one, spoke for both of them. "Dad told us not to do it."

Morgan still encouraged Josh to speak. "Josh, what did we say?"

"You told us not to hit each other."

"That's right. Since you broke the rules, you have to punished."

Charlie protested and Josh's chin began to wobble. Morgan looked over his shoulder at Reid who was still standing in the kitchen doorway. He took a deep breath and continued, "alright boys, for the next hour you aren't allowed to play with each other or your toys, okay?"

They both answered at the same time. "Okay, daddy."

"Alright, Josh you can go to your room and Charlie you can stay in the living room." Morgan stood up and watched his son make his way to his bedroom as he walked toward Reid. "So how did I do?"

Reid gave a half smile. "Not bad for your first time."
