"I can't believe she's getting married today," Derek Morgan said to his wife JJ Morgan as they stood just outside the bridal room where their daughter Kayla Sophia Morgan was finishing getting ready with her bridesmaids.

"Neither can I, but you know that Mitch is a good kid. He's Reid and Emily's they've taught him that he needs to respect others, especially women," JJ assured.

"That's true, but she's my baby girl. No boy will ever be good enough for her even if he's my best friends kid," Derek argued. JJ just laughed she knew it would be hard for her husband to let Kayla go, but in the end, she knew he would with a smile. Even if it was a slightly sad one.

"They're almost ready. It's time for me to escort you to your seat, Aunt JJ," Jack Hottchner said as he walked up.

"Thanks, Jack," JJ said quickly kissing her husband then taking her "nephews" arm and walking with him towards the sanctuary. Taking a deep breath, Derek reached out and knocked on the door.

"Come in," called Becca Hotchner. Derek smiled and opened the door gretting the colorful but serious young woman who stood in front of him. She was a mix of her father and her mother, Penelope Garcia.

"Could I have a moment alone with Kayla? They're about to ready to start," Derek said informing the group of women in the room. Becca and Kayla's two other bridesmaids left the room and Derek finally got his first glimpse of his daughter.

"You look beautiful, sweetheart," he choked out.

"Thanks, Daddy. You like very handsome," she complimented.

"I can't believe you and Mitch are getting married today. It seems just like yesterday we were playing basketball and you said you were going to marry me." Kayla laughed at the memory.

"Mitch is a good man, Daddy. He loves me and I love him."

"Of course he is, but no man will ever be good enough for you Kayla Sophia Morgan," her father explained gently. "Not in my eyes anyway," he amended.

"I understand that, but he makes me happy, and isn't that all you've ever wanted for me?" she argued.

"Yes it is," Derek replied. Just then a knock came at the door.

"They're ready," came a voice hrough the door. Taking one last look in the mirror the nervous bride straightened he dress before turning towards her father and holding out her hand.

"Come on, Daddy. Let's get married. Smiling proudly with a little sadness mixed in, Derek took her hand and tucked it in his arm as he opened the door and began leading her towards the front of the church and the beginning of her new life with her husband Mitchell Derek Reid.

Finished!
