Derek Morgan could not remember the last time he enjoyed winter as much as he was at the moment. Warm apartment, soft music, beautiful goddess curled up in his arms, what more could he want?

If asked Penelope Garcia would have had to agree that it didn't get much better than this. Of course, if asked she would be pulled out of the drowsy warmth she was experiencing and she wouldn't be happy about that.

Naturally, all good things must come to an end and that end came when Garcia happened to turn and catch the red numbers on Morgan's VCR. 10:45, the machine blinked at her.

Sighing with disappointment, Garcia sat up and pulled herself out of Morgan's arms. Turning, she gave him a quick kiss on the lips.

"Sorry, gorgeous, but it's getting late and we have to be to work early tomorrow."

Morgan was way too comfortable to give up that easily. Pulling her back against him, Morgan wheedled, "Baby girl, it's cold outside."

"But, I have to go home and get some sleep, love muffin."

Morgan just grinned, Cheshire Catlike. Moving in closer, he pushed the blond curls off her shoulder. Just before nibbling Garcia's neck he murmured, "Beautiful, what's your hurry?"

Feeling his lips send shivers down her spin, Garcia mumbled, "Well, maybe just a minute or two more."

"It's like a blizzard out there."

"Derek, the weather is perfect," she argued.

Of course, the fact that she practically purred her response and leaned into Morgan may have lessened the impact of her statement.

"Maybe, but it's so cold you'll freeze out there."

Wrapping her arms around Morgan's neck, Garcia said, "Sugar, the answer is no."

With a low growl, he replied, "Baby girl, your lips look delicious."

"Don't change the subject," she laughed.

"What if you caught pneumonia, my goddess? The rest of my life wouldn't be worth living if you died."

"Honey, my car does have heat."

"You'd go and deprive me of the magnificence that is you?"

Garcia laughed. "If I have bags under my eyes tomorrow, you know there will be all sorts of talk."

"Not anymore than usual," was Morgan's reply as he leaned in to capture her lips once more.

"I should really get going."

"But, it's so cold out there."

Garcia seemed to consider this. Then, completely relaxing against Morgan's chest, she said, "It is cold outside."

Upon kissing the side of her head, Morgan agreed, "Very cold, Mama. Very cold."
