Garcia frowned at her monitor. It was two days before Christmas and the team had just finished a case and were on the plane coming home. This wasn't what was bugging Garcia, however. When the team got back and went out to the bar to celebrate, she wanted to give them all their Christmas gifts. She had already gotten gifts for most of the team, now she needed to find a gift for Reid. The young genius seemed to be the hardest to shop for. He appeared to have read every book Garcia could find, and he probably wouldn't wear any clothes that she found tasteful. Garcia groaned. Why couldn't she just get something for him and be done with it? Because he's like my little brother. She thought. Plus, he isn't spending the holidays with his mom, so the 'case well done' celebration with the BAU is all he has this year.

Garcia had a sudden stroke of inspiration. She knew the perfect gift for Reid. Typing furiously, Garcia began the race to find this gift before the team got back.

The bar was surprisingly empty for the holiday break. Reid supposed this was because all the usual customers were at home with their families. He envied them, after all, he had sacrificed his visit to Las Vegas for this case. Tonight with the team was the only thing he was doing for the holidays. He took a sip of his drink and watched Garcia hand out Christmas presents. Rossi, Hotch, and JJ said they were saving theirs for when they got home, but Morgan opened his immediately. Everyone laughed when he discovered it was mistletoe (hint, hint) and he gave Garcia a kiss on the cheek.

"You're supposed to kiss me on the lips!" Garcia whined in mock disappointment.

"Hate to break it to you, Baby Girl, but it has to hang over our heads for that." Morgan laughed when she stood on her tip-toes trying to hold it over their heads.

Reid had to smile. His team could always make him feel better.

"Reid, you're last!" Garcia walked up to him. He raised his eyebrows. "I don't see it."

Garcia laughed. "It's outside. Come on!" She tugged a confused Reid out the door.

"Wait here!" She yelled as she hurried around the corner. Wait here? It's freezing! He thought. Snow fell to the ground around him. After several minutes, Reid started to get annoyed. "Forget this, I'm freezing." He muttered, and walked back to the bar. As he reached the door, he heard footsteps. Expecting it to be Garcia, he turned around. Reid gasped. The man walking by froze. By the look in his eyes, he wasn't expecting this meeting either. They stood in silence, simply staring at each other. Reid heard the door open, and laughter floated out.

"Spence!" JJ yelled "what are you doing out-" She froze, seeing the tension between the two men. "Oh." She muttered "S-sorry." JJ hurried back in side. The man opened this mouth then closed it repeatedly, as if he didn't know what to say.

"I-" He grimaced. "I don't know how- I just want to say-" He lapsed into silence again. "Merry Christmas, Spencer."

Reid cracked a grin. "Merry Christmas, Gideon." They hugged each other, the father-son love showing in the smiles on their faces.

Garcia watched from around the corner, and smiled. She had succeeded in getting Reid the perfect Christmas gift.
