Human beings are creatures of habit. And it doesn't matter how good of a person you are, every person has at least one bad habit.

J.J's bad habit was not as dangerous or even wild and fun. She didn't smoke or sleep late on weekends; she didn't party all night or play video games all the time.

For years though, she chewed her fingernails. Every since she was a little girl of about 5 or 6 she tore her beautiful fingernails up as part of a nervous habit.

Then one day after a particularly anxious week she noticed that her cuticles were bleeding and raw from all the chewing, and she decided to stop chewing those desirable fingernails.

In order to keep her mind on something else she needed a new oral fixantion and one day when she was walking through the bulk section of the supermarket she picked out a bag of multi-coulored Jelly-Beans.

From that day one J.J. never chewed on a single fingernail, now whenever she got nervous or upset she reached for her bag of Jelly-Beans.

One day on the plane back to Quantico she was eating her precious Jelly-Beans, carefully to avoid the green ones. Out of the blue and for no apparent reason Reid asked if he could eat her green ones because it was obvious she didn't like them.

J.J. smiled and told him that she hated the green ones and was said she happy to have someone to unload them onto. So they spent the better part of the plane ride sorting the Jelly-Beans and tossing them into each other's mouths.

He ate her green Jelly-Beans and it made her smile. He liked seeing her smile, it made him smile and that made it worth it.

When J.J. left work that night she drove to the supermarket and picked up another bag of Jelly-Beans. She went home and quickly picked out all the green ones. She sat down on her couch and stuck each green bean in her mouth, one at a time. She thought to herself, who doesn't know the rule of saving your favorite Jelly Beans for last.

Reid went home and marched straight to the bathroom and brushed his teeth. He rolled his eyes at his reflection, since when do adults lie to girls so they have something to do? He thought. The truth was that he hated green Jelly-Beans and he only said he loved them so he would have a reason to sit next to her.
