Will could feel his heart thumping in his chest as he turned the key in the lock, swinging the front door of his apartment open and standing back to let Ethan go in first. This was the first time he'd brought anyone home in ages, and he couldn't help but feel nervous.

What would Ethan think of him once their clothes were off and all barriers were down? The first night with a new lover was always a little nerve-wracking, no matter how badly he wanted to be with the person in question -- especially when he really wanted to make a good impression.

He did want to make a good impression on Ethan. He intended to have this man in his life for a long time -- hopefully, for the rest of his life. He'd never wanted anyone as badly as he wanted Ethan; there was something about this man that made him want to wrap him in his arms forever.

Why was he so strongly attracted to this man? Will didn't know, but it was gratifying to realize that Ethan felt the same way about him, that was desired just as much as he desired Ethan. Tonight would only be the first time they were together; there would be many more times to come.

"Nice place," Ethan commented as Will closed and locked the door behind them. "Smaller than mine, but I've got a piano in my living room, so that's not surprising." He laughed softly, shaking his head. "I'm just lucky that I didn't have to pay through the nose for the place."

"I don't need a lot of space," Will told him with a smile. "I spend most of my time working -- and when I'm home, pretty much all I do is eat, read, sleep, and watch movies once in a while. I'm not much on tv -- too busy to really keep up with the shows."

He was babbling, he knew. He wished that he could stop, but his nervousness was coming through again, making him feel like a kid on his first date. He had to stop this; he had to get control fo the situation and put things back on the right track again.

Without hesitation, he reached for Ethan, placing his hand on the other man's shoulder. When Ethan turned around, Will pulled him into his arms, pressing his lips to Ethan's, barely hearing the soft gasp from the other man's throat in the heady anticipation of what was to come.

Within seconds, they were pulling at each other's clothes, each of them desperate to tear away any barriers that were still between them. It only took Will a few seconds to have Ethan's shirt off; then he was tugging at the other man's belt, wishing that their clothes would simply disappear.

Ethan smiled and backed away a few steps, raising an eyebrow. "Let's get to the bedroom first, okay?" he said, his voice soft and husky. "I think we'd be a lot more comfortable there, instead of standing here in the middle of the living room ripping our clothes to shreds."

"You're right about that," Will said with a rueful laugh, holding out his hand to Ethan. He led the other man down the short hallway to his bedroom, glad that he'd decided to vacuum and pick up his clothes only that morning. His subconscious must have known that this would happen.

It only took a few more seconds for them both to have their jeans off; time was a blur for those few moments, neither of them really knowing how they made it to the bed. All Will could think of was how badly he wanted Ethan, how it would feel to be inside him.

He was bending over the other man, moving one hand down Ethan's body, marveling at the softness of his skin. Touching Ethan was like touching velvet; he wanted to press his body against Ethan's, to melt into him, their bodies becoming one and never parting.

Ethan was touching him, too, those soft, warm hands all over him. It took a few moments for Will to catch his breath; Ethan's touch was making him feel as though he was falling apart at the seams, melting into the warmth of that touch, coming undone in every possible way.

How could Ethan make him feel like this, when they hadn't even made love yet? If he could feel this undone with just a touch, then he would be transported to the stars once their bodies were joined. And he didn't want to wait any longer for that. He was ready.

Judging from the look on Ethan's face, so was he. Will reached for the small bottle of lubricant on the table by his bed, pausing his caresses briefly to squeeze a generous amount onto his fingers. He was surprised when Ethan took the bottle from him, doing the same.

He was puzzled as to what Ethan could want with the lube -- until the other man's fingers closed around his cock, stroking him to hardness, lubricating him. Will closed his eyes, a moan coming from his throat; that touch almost sent him over the edge.

But he managed to catch himself, to keep a tight rein over his body. This was just beginning, and he wasn't going to throw a monkey wrench into the works by coming too soon. He was going to draw this out, to make it as good for both of them as he possibly could.

Ethan groaned as one finger slipped inside him, then another. Will moved slowly and carefully, keeping his gaze fixed on Ethan's face; he didn't want to hurt this man in any way. He wanted Ethan to feel nothing but pleasure -- and for that pleasure to fuel his desire.

Within moments, Ethan was squirming and moaning under him; Will knew that it was the right time for both of them. Slowly, he withdrew his fingers from Ethan's body, sliding his hands under those firm buttocks and lifting Ethan slightly, preparing to enter him.

Looking down at Ethan, it was almost as though he could feel the desire that sparked between them as a palpable entity. He'd never wanted anyone this badly, never wanted to be with someone so much that it made him physically ache to be joined with them.

With that thought, Will thrust his hips forward, gasping as he entered the slick, tight heat of Ethan's body. He could feel those impossibly long legs wrapped around his waist, those muscular thighs tightening against his sides, feel Ethan's body tightening in response.

It only took them a few moments to work up a steady rhythm, Ethan's body moving in tandem with Will's, their gasping breaths the only sound in the room. Will was sure that this wouldn't last long; he was too aroused, too ready, too focused on the man beneath him to keep this up.

No one else had ever fit him so perfectly; it was as though Ethan's body had been made for him, made for the two of them to come together. There was magic between them, the magic not only of two bodies joining, but of hearts and souls joining along with their physical connection.

Will had never believed that there was any kind of magic in two bodies coming together; he'd never known what it was like to fall head over heels into love. But he knew now, he told himself. He believed in magic -- at least between himself and the man in his arms.

This was fate, destiny. He and Ethan had been meant to meet and love; they'd been intended for each other from the moment they were conceived. He had to believe that, had to hold on to the magic that had blossomed between them ever since that first smile, that first touch.

He was at the precipice, ready to throw himself from it and leap to dizzying heights -- but he wasn't going to let himself go before he knew that he had satisfied Ethan. It was hard to hold himself back, but he had to. He wanted this to be good for Ethan above all else.

One more thrust .... then another, and he could feel Ethan's inner muscles tightening around his cock, feel the warm spurt of his release between their bodies. He dimly heard Ethan's soft cry, felt those long legs tighten around his waist and knew that he'd achieved his goal.

Only then did Will let himself go, his release bringing a gasp to his lips. His body shook with the force of his orgasm; he was unable to keep holding himself up, his arms feeling too weak to support him. He wrapped his arms around Ethan's waist, rolling over onto his side, still buried inside the other man.

They lay there for what seemed like an eternity, their bodies locked together, each of them unwilling to pull away from the other. Finally, Will raised his head, lifting a hand to brush back of lock of damp hair from Ethan's forehead, his voice hoarse when he spoke.

"I'fe never believed in magic before, but tonight changed my mind," he whispered, unable to speak any more loudly. "Making love to you is magic, Ethan. Being with you is magic. You're magic." He bowed his head to brush a gentle kiss across Ethan's parted lips, feeling overwhelmed.

He had never felt this way about anyone. It was as though a million new emotions that he'd never felt before were all vying for attention in his mind; he didn't know which one of them to step back and look at first. They were too tumbled, too entwined, too complicated.

All he could do at the moment was lie here with Ethan in his arms, feeling as though he never wanted to let this man go. This was his future, here in his arms, in his bed. He knew that they were starting out on a path that would lead them into the rest of their lives -- and he couldn't wait to move along.

Ethan smiled wearily, raising a hand to trace the outline of Will's upper lip. "You're amazing," he whispered, his voice soft and husky. "And I agree with you about us being magic. I've never felt like that before. Never fallen for anybody so quickly before, either."

"I'm falling for you, too," Will admitted, his gaze never leaving Ethan's face. "I was falling for you from the first time I looked at you. I think I could fall in love with you, Ethan. I'm already getting there. I'm just not ready to say that four-letter word yet. But I will be."

Ethan nodded, placing one finger on Will's lips. "Don't say it until you're ready -- and until you really mean it," he said, his voice sounding more serious than it previously had. "I'll do the same. But I don't think it's going to take us too long to say those words. They're .... magic."

This time it was Will's turn to nod, as he pursed his lips to kiss the finger that rested against his mouth. It was magic to feel that he could fall in love, that he was holding the man who would be in his arms -- and in his heart -- for the rest of his life.

He belived in magic now, more than he had ever thought he could. And he was determined to let the magic that he and Ethan had created between themselves blossom to its fullest extent, and never fade away. Somehow, he didn't think that was going to be a problem in any way.

Reluctantly, he slowly pulled out of Ethan, stretching his lean body out and pulling the other man into his arms. It amazed him how Ethan's body seemed to fit next to his, how their embrace was so comfortable that it felt as though Ethan had always been right here, next to him.

Will closed his eyes, letting himself relax and start to drift off to sleep. He would awaken in the morning with Ethan in his arms, by his side -- right where he should be. And somehow, that sounded like the best way of waking up that he could possibly imagine.
