he lies supine in the hammock his
back to the door so
pretty when she startles him and his feet hit the floor
prettier when his eyes light up
stunning when he smiles its
miles wide and she kisses every inch he’s
breathless he can’t speak or think can’t do
anything except make room for her so
he does he loves how all four legs fit together and the way her
hair feathers her cheek she falls asleep
teasing his hand he murmurs
plans into the crook of her neck he
bets she won’t remember in the morning but he
keeps going because he will and he
hasn’t had his fill of saying ‘we’
