Greg couldn't help smiling as he put the dishes into the dishwasher.

Danny was coming home in just two days -- for good. Everything was going to change for the better, and he couldn't wait for his boyfriend to be home.

He'd missed Danny so terribly while he was away, but that was over now. Just two more days, and he would be back. He hadn't done badly in the tournament, either -- he'd come in fourth in a field of over thirty golfers, and even though he hadn't won, Greg was proud of him.

He had watched the tournament progress every time that a part of it had been televised, and he'd loved watching Danny playing the sport his boyfriend loved.

He was good at it, too, Greg thought with a smile.

It didn't matter that Danny wasn't bringing home the top prize; he had still won a substantial amount of money, and he had added significantly to his reputation.

Greg knew that was one of the most important things to Danny; he wanted to be respected within the sport that he'd made into such a large part of his life, and Greg didn't blame him for that. He'd never been at this level before, and he'd worked long and hard to get there.

Greg could understand that completely; he wanted to be recognized and respected in his chosen field, as well. They'd both achieved that in their respective careers.

If he had to go out on tour for a while here and there, they'd proven that their relationship could deal with it. They'd only become closer over the past few weeks.

It was going to be such a wonderful change from the last few weeks -- well, months, really -- to have Danny here. It was a change that Greg was looking forward to immensely, one that he couldn't wait to take place. He wanted his lover here, at home with him.

Of course, he'd be spending his nights working, and they didn't live together. So they'd have to coordinate schedules, and that might not always be easy.

But they had managed to make it work well so far.

He couldn't help smiling at that thought; Danny had made changes in his life, and so had he, to accommodate being in this relationship. And neither of them had any regrets.

How could be regret being in love? he asked himself, his smile growing. No, there were no regrets -- and if there were more changes to be made, then he would step into them. Life and relationships were about compromise, after all, and he was willing to make sacrifices for the man he loved.

But for right now, a change was coming, and it was one that he craved, one that he had been waiting for and counting down the days until it was upon him.

This change was definitely going to be a good one.
