"Feels like I'm standing in a timeless dream
Of light mists of pale amber rose
Feels like I'm lost in a deep cloud of heavenly scent
Touching, discovering you"

Nick Stokes filled his cup with coffee, took a sip and slowly walked over to the window. He could see the sun rising, the promise of another beautiful and hot day in Las Vegas.

Behind him, back in the bathroom, he could hear his lover take a shower. And singing. Singing surprisingly good. He smiled. And his smile deepened as he listened to the song on the radio, accompanied by his lover’s melodic tenor.

"Those days of warm rains come rushing back to me
Miles of windless summer night air
Secret moments shared in the heat of the afternoon
Out of the stillness soft spoken words"

For the first time Nick got the feeling that this could be their song. Soft spoken words, moaned in the heat of the moment, whispered in the soft afterglow of their lovemaking. Secret moments, stolen moments, when they were alone in one of their office’s or in the lab. Or even the locker room.

"Say say it again
I love you always forever
Near and far closer together
Everywhere I will be with you
Everything I will do for you"

His lover's breathless "I love you, Nicky.", whispered every evening just seconds before they left his car to start their shift, made him still shiver whenever he thought of it. The coffee became cold in his hands, while his thoughts were far away. Suddenly he felt an arm sneaking around his waist, and the tender voice of his lover sang in his ear,

"You've got the most unbelievable brown eyes I've ever seen
You've got me almost melting away
As we lay there under a blue sky with pure white stars
Exotic sweetness a magical time."

Laughing silently, Nick turned in the arms of his lover.

"It's 'blue eyes', love. Not brown."

Gil's eyes sparkled with barely hidden love.

"But you have brown eyes, Nicky. And they really got me melting away."

He kissed the younger man lovingly.

"Good morning, Nicky."

Nick reciprocated the kiss, a little more passionate.

"Good morning, love. Any plans for today?"

Smiling, Gil released his hold on his lover's waist, grabbed his hands and pulled him gently over to the open bedroom door.

"Well, not quite. But if we're thinking together I guess we might find something we both like. What do you say?"

Pushing the laughing older man onto the bed, Nick's smile became almost feral.

"I'd say, let's give it a try."

The song in the radio went on, switched to the next, interrupted by the speaker's voice. And by the sounds from the two men, lying on the bed, absorbed in each other. The soft moans became groans, gasps, little shouts of pleasure and finally the shout of white-hot ecstasy when both men reached their fulfillment.

"Say you'll love love me forever
Never stop never whatever
Near and far and always and everywhere and every"

"Always and forever, Nicky."

Gil's voice was thick with emotion as he lay panting in the arms of his younger lover. Never before had he been so honest and open. And vulnerable. And never before had he felt so right about something. He could hear the rapid beating of Nick's heart under his ear, and felt the soft caresses on his skin.

"Always and forever, love."
