Annie Kramer was an attractive, intelligent woman. She was also a *no holes barred* police captain, and she knew exactly what she wanted. She wanted, a very snarky, sexy as hell police captain, *Jim Brass* the one and only.

She'd been thinking of him constantly, ever since his arrival in LA. He'd come to help his daughter find her missing friend. The case had ended badly and was never truly resolved, but it gave Annie a chance to see Brass in action again. And she liked what she saw.

Annie had kept in touch with Jim, even after he'd went back to Vegas. She'd been waiting for an opportunity to see the man again. Then she received word that he'd been shot! Annie had been terrified that Jim would die. So, she called the Las Vegas crime lab and spoke with Gil. She was finally, reassured that Jim was going to pull through, and she made up her mind then and there that she was going to go get her man. Nothing would stand in her way - when she set her mind to something.

LA was a crime infested city and trying to get away from it was almost impossible. She'd spoken to Jim on the phone several times, since the shooting, and learned that he'd soon return to work. Annie was more than relieved, but she never let on to Jim.

Finally, Annie got her chance. A suspect in several murder cases jumped bail. He was reported to be hiding out in Vegas. Sure enough, that's where the LVPD found him and brought him in. Annie wasted no time. She strapped on her gun, booked a flight and headed to sin city.

Three months earlier

Jim Brass woke up in his hospital bed and looked through the ICU window. The faces were familiar. They were the faces of his friends and colleagues. These were the people who had become like family to him. They all looked happy and relieved. One face in particular, stood out in the crowd. I t was the face of Warrick Brown. The man that Jim had, over time, come to admire, respect and finally love. He knew he could never admit these feelings. It could prove detrimental to his career. Not to mention, the fact that the man he loved was married. Jim would just have to keep his secret and pretend to feel nothing more than friendship for Warrick. He thought it was a good plan, but good plans never seemed to work out for Jim.

The events surrounding his shooting, gradually came back to him. He remembered it all and he remembered Warrick being with him every step of the way. Warrick's was the last face he saw before he lost total consciousness. Somehow that image gave him strength. It gave him the will to live.

Jim woke up to find Warrick slumped in the chair next to his hospital bed. He was asleep and he looked haggard. Deep worry lines were etched into his forehead and Jim thought that Warrick looked worse than he felt.

Jim nudged Warrick's arm and watched him as he slowly woke up.

"Hey, Jim. You're awake. How are you feeling?"

"Better than I expected, but you look like you could use some rest. Rick, you can't stay here all the time. I'm out of the woods. The doc's say I'm gonna be just fine. You need to go home to your wife. She must be getting pissed. You've been here for the last three days. "

"That's not a problem anymore, Jim."

"Why does that not sound good?"

"You might as well know, Tina left me, or I should say she asked me to leave."

"What the hell happened?"

"I'm not sure. Things just went from good to horrible in a matter of weeks."

"Don't give up, Rick. I doubt, it's too late to work thing out. You just have to try. I'm sure she'll forgive you, unless you cheated on her. You didn't, did you?"

"Of course not, Jim. I wouldn't do that. You're gonna think I'm awful, but I don't think I want to work it out."

"What are you talking about, Rick? Why wouldn't you want to work things out? You've gotta give it a chance."

"I hadn't known Tina all that long when I popped the question. Then we had that quickie, drive thru wedding. You remember? It was right after Nick's kidnapping."

"Yeah, I remember. How could I forget it? We were all crazy."

"Well, I got scared. I didn't want to end up dying alone. I thought that Tina was the right one, but the truth is - I really wasn't in love with her. I've never been in love with anyone. I've been attracted and infatuated, but not in love. This whole marriage was a major mistake. I think something is wrong with me. I'm really terrified that I'll never fall in love."

"Rick, relax. There's nothing wrong with you. You just haven't met the right person."

"What if I never find the right person."

"Trust me. You will. It's going to be all right. So, tell me, what are you going to do and where are you staying?"

"I'm going to let Tina file for an uncontested divorce and right now I'm crashing at Nick's. That can't last long, though. Nick's got girls in and out of there all the time and I feel like I'm cramping his style. Three's a crowd. So, I guess I'll start apartment hunting."

"Um, I have a suggestion. You could come stay with me."

"Jim, I can't put you out like that. I appreciate the offer, but you need rest and quiet when you get released."

"You wouldn't be putting me out. I have a house with three bedrooms. I only need one of them. As for rest, would you be throwing wild parties or something? And last but not least, who's going to take care of me?"

"What?"

"Who's going to take care of me," Brass knew how to use a guilt trip, if he had to. "Gil said Ellie left town again. He hasn't been able to locate her. So, that leaves me all alone and weak in that big house. What do ya say, Rick?"

"Are you sure about this? I really don't like the thought of you being there all by yourself. I'll come stay with you - if that's what you really want, but I insist on paying rent. Ok, but just until I find an apartment I can afford."

"Sure, Rick. What ever you want. Why don't you go and get my house keys from Gil and move your stuff in. The doc's say, if I keep up the progress, I'll be able to go home in about a week. It'll make it easier if you're already moved in."

"Well, Ok. If you're sure. I'll go see Gil and get the keys. Thanks, Jim. I really appreciate this. Get some sleep. I'll be back later."

"No problem. It's the perfect solution for both of us. You'll see. It'll be great. I'll see ya later, Rick."

Jim smirked, things were definitely looking up. What was he thinking?"

*******

One week later

Jim was released from the hospital and settled into his home. It was an easy transition, because he had his own personal nurse maid and mother hen. Warrick was taking care of him with a vengeance. When Jim got home the place was spotless and he knew he hadn't left it like that. Jim wasn't much on house keeping, but apparently Warrick was.

Rick took care of all Jim's medications. He fed him three well balanced meals a day, that he cooked himself. Rick was always saying that Jim didn't eat right. Well, he certainly did now. Jim tried to get Rick to relax and stop fussing, but Warrick was taking his job seriously. It seemed to be working like a charm. Jim was gaining strength every day. Warrick had set up an exercise plan for Jim, not too excessive, but enough that Jim was getting some muscle tone back. Jim was starting to feel really good, *maybe to good.* He was starting to have all kinds of fantasies about throwing Rick to the ground and having his way with him. Jim was finding it difficult to be around Rick, without getting a hard on.

Things were good at the Brass household. Having Rick there was almost like having a wife. He could get used to it, if he could just get him some of the fringe benefits. Jim had been getting out more too. Rick had been taking him to dinner, movies and short walks in the park. So, about a month into his recovery, he was feeling back to his old self. He even asked the doctors if he could go back to work. There answer was a resounding, *No!* Two more months, that's what they said and Warrick was going to see that he didn't push himself. So, what was Jim going to do for two months, when he felt this good? Well, he'd just have to think of something.

It happened one night

Jim was sitting on his bed, shirt off, while Rick was examining his scar. Jim told Warrick that it wasn't necessary, but he'd insisted. Rick was saying something about it looking good and healing nicely, but Jim wasn't really paying attention. He was staring at Rick's full lips and wondering what it would be like to taste them. All he had to do was lean in a little closer and he would come in contact with those luscious lips. He tried to control it. He tried to think of something else, but to no avail.

Rick ran his hand gently across the scar and Jim's control snapped! He took hold of Warrick's forearms and pulled him closer. He pressed a kiss to the younger man's lips. They tasted as sweet as he'd imagined, even sweeter. Jim hadn't realized what he'd done. He was so out of control and his lust fogged brain wasn't registering the fact that Rick had opened his mouth. When it finally dawned on him, he wasted no time, shoving his tongue in and exploring those warm depths.

Warrick finally managed to pull away. He stared at Jim in surprise, but Jim noticed that Rick's eyes were dilated and his breathing was erratic. Jim thought, ‘God he's beautiful.'

Jim tried to cover, He tried to look as surprised as Rick, but he wasn't pulling it off very well. So, he stammered and tried to apologize.

"Shit, Rick. I'm…. ah …. Sorry. I don't know what came over me. Please, don't be mad. I didn't mean to do that."

Rick had regained some presence of mind, even if he was still starring, wide eyed. So, his reply was still a bit breathless.

"You didn't mean to kiss me?" he asked. "You didn't like it?" Rick's eyes were starting to lose some of their glow.

Jim knew he had to do something fast, before he pissed off the bronze god sitting on his bed. Because, what he really wanted was the bronze god lying in his bed, preferably naked.

"No, …no…um, that's not what I meant. I liked it a whole lot. What I meant was, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to take advantage of you. Here you've been killing yourself taking care of me for the last month, going without sleep and worrying about me, and all. I should have told you how I felt sooner, instead of just grabbing you and kissing you. I know it was awkward and I don't expect you to reciprocate… and … I'm really sorry for putting you on the spot."

"You have feelings for me, really?" Warrick looked stunned. "I never had a clue and I'm a crime scene investigator. I should have picked up on something. Are you sure it's not just gratitude for my helping you out. You know, you helped me out too. I'd still be at Nick's revolving brothel, if it weren't for you, but I'm not interested in gratitude. I want to know if you're serious?" Rick's jaw was set and Jim knew he had no choice but to answer truthfully. Maybe there was hope, after all.

"Rick, It's not gratitude. I've felt this way about you for a long time. I think it started back when you first helped me with Ellie. I respect you and your skills as a CSI. You're brilliant and gorgeous, too boot. Who in their right mind wouldn't want to kiss you? But, it's a lot more that just lust. If you want total honesty - I'm in love with you and I have been for a couple of years now!"

At that, Warrick's jaw dropped open further and he was temporarily speechless.

Warrick eventually managed to spit out, "Oh God!"

Jim thought, 'Well, fuck! I've really done it now!'

"Jesus, Rick. I'm so sorry. I don't know how I could be so stupid. I don't expect you to feel the same. And I don't expect you to do anything with me. I would never try to pressure you into a sexual relationship. I couldn't stand to lose your friendship. It means more to me than anything. Please, don't leave. I give you my word I‘ll never touch you again.

Warrick smiled a way too sexy smile and drawled, "Yeah, but I'm not giving you my word." He reached out and pulled Jim closer. When their lips met it was electric! When their tongues started dueling for dominance, the sensation shot straight to Jim's groin and he was lost. There was no turning back now. All Jim's fantasies were about to be realized.

Jim still wasn't ready for any hardcore sex, but Warrick knew this. It was passionate and gentle and the best blow job Jim had ever had. Warrick was extremely talented and Jim came harder than he'd ever come in his life. He couldn't return the favor, but he could satisfy his new lover. He pulled Rick close and placed his excited lover's cock between his legs. He clamped his legs tight and rocked. He kept up the rocking, steadily increasing the pace until Warrick came with a groan.

Afterwards, Warrick cleaned them both up with a warm wash cloth and climbed back into bed next to Jim. He was quiet. To quiet. Jim started to worry. So, he decided to break the silence.

"Do you regret it, Rick? I know I'm not the most attractive man in the world and I'm a little rusty at love making, but." His words were cut off when Warrick pulled him close and whispered, "I don't regret a damn thing and I think you're beautiful. As for your love making skills, I've never felt such passion and I've never felt so loved. It was everything I ever wanted. I just didn't know it. We've got all the time in the world to explore the sexual perks and I fully intend to when you're completely recovered. If you still want to?"

"Still want to," Jim sighed. You're all I've dreamed about. I love you, Rick."

Warrick didn't say it back, not at that moment, but he'd come close. He knew without a doubt, that he could say it, in time and he did say it in the following weeks. In fact, he said it a lot. He told Jim that for the first time in his life he was truly in love. Warrick had never been happier and it showed. It showed at home, in the time he spent with Jim and it showed at work. His attitude had greatly improved.

Nick took notice!

Two months later

Rick sat in the locker room at work, whistling a happy tune, when Nick arrived. Nick smiled. *Rick sure was happy lately*

"Hey, Bro. What's got you in such a good mood?"

Rick grinned broadly. "You haven't heard? Jim's coming back to work today. Isn't that great?"

"Yeah, man. That sure is good news. He's really been missed. I hope he doesn't over do it. You know how hard headed he can be."

"You don't have to tell me. Remember, I've been living with the man for three months."

"I know and it seems to have done you a world of good. You're not as stressed out as you used to be. By the way, I've been meaning to ask you - have you heard from Tina?"

"Yeah. The divorce is almost final. Just a couple of more weeks. We weren't married that long, so nobody's getting anything. It's just over, like it never happened."

"Wow, I'm sorry, man."

"I'm not." Rick couldn't help but smile. "I've got everything I ever wanted."

Nick raised an eyebrow. "Care to elaborate? I've noticed how deliriously happy you've been recently."

"I really don't think you should ask questions, Nick. What ya don't know won't hurt ya."

"Well, how about if I go out on a limb here and speculate, bro. My guess is that you found a new love interest. By the looks of it - I'd say this is it, because you're ten times happier than when you were with Tina. And as far as I know, the only person you've spent time with, other than me - is Jim. Now, put that together with the fact that every time I've visited you and Jim over the last couple of months, the two of you have acted like giddy school boys. Plus, you were both wearing the same sappy grin. Am I getting warm, Rick?"

Warrick shook his head. "Damn, man! You're pretty good at this. I think you need a raise. Gris doesn't appreciate your skills enough. I didn't realize I was acting quite so silly."

"It's ok. Best friends are supposed to notice things like that."

"Nick, this is serious. You can't breath a word of this to anyone. If it gets out - it could ruin Jim's career."

"I know it's serious just by the look on your face, and you know me well enough to know - that I'd never tell anyone. Ever!"

"Yeah, I know, Nick. I'm just scared about the whole thing. God, I really want this to last. I'm willing to do anything to make it work."

"It'll be fine, bro. Don't you worry. Your secret is safe with me. Jim's a great guy and if he makes you happy, that's all that matters."

"Thanks, Nick. I didn't expect you to be this understanding. I figured you'd freak."

"Nah. It's cool, so long as he doesn't hurt you. You're my main man and God help anyone who hurts you. So, you'd better go and welcome Jim back. I'm sure he's expecting you."

"I'm going and thanks again, Nick. I don't know where I'd be without you."

"I do, Ricky. You'd be in deep shit!" Nick grinned.

Rick grinned back, "Later, Nicky."

*******

Jim's first week back went like clockwork. Of course, he had his lover checking on him every twenty minutes, that is, when Rick wasn't out in the field. Jim couldn't remember ever being this happy. He had it all, but the best part of it was that he had Rick. All he had to do now was keep him. The sex wasn't half bad either!

*******

One week later

Jim sat on the sofa watching a ball game, while Rick was in the kitchen fixing dinner. They had the night off together and were planning on enjoying a quiet evening at home. To be followed by some very hot and heavy fucking later. Jim was thinking he could happily skip the dinner part and go straight to the later part, when the doorbell rang.

Jim yelled, "I'll get it, Rick. Stay where you are. Dinner smells great."

Jim opened the door and to his surprise, found a smiling Annie Kramer on his doorstep. She threw herself into his arms and planted one on him. All the while, Warrick watched with veiled irritation from the kitchen doorway.

Dinner is served

Jim gently extricated himself from Annie's grasp. He was happy to see her, just not that happy. He led her into the living room and called to Warrick, who had snuck back into the kitchen.

"Rick, we have a guest."

Warrick entered the living room with a reserved smile on his face.

"Hey, Rick. You remember Captain Annie Kramer from LA."

"I sure do. How are you Captain? What brings you to Vegas?"

"Hello, Warrick. Nice to see you again and please call me Annie. I'm doing very well, thanks. I'm afraid I'm just here on business. I've got a murder suspect here that jumped bail in LA. We didn't have enough evidence to prosecute, but he fixed that when he ran. We've got plenty of evidence now and I'm here to get him extradited. Something smells great."

"Yeah, Rick's cooking dinner. He's an excellent cook."

Warrick swallowed his jealousy temporarily. "Would you like to stay for dinner." He asked.

"Oh, I wouldn't want to intrude."

"You're not intruding. Rick made plenty. He always makes too much."

Yeah, Warrick thought, 'You've already intruded. What's a little while longer.'

"Wow, how did you get a personal chef? Does Warrick cook you dinner often?"

"Yup, he does. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Well, at least he did, before I went back to work."

"How do you manage that, Warrick? Jim told me once when I spoke to him on the phone that you'd gotten married."

"Yes, but it didn't work out. My divorce is almost final."

"I'm sorry to hear that. So, you're living here with Jim?" Annie thought this could prove to be a major problem.

"Yes, he is," Jim answered. "I needed someone to take care of me and Rick applied for the job."

"It's obvious he did an outstanding job. You look great. Even better than I remember and I thought you looked pretty good then."

"Thanks, but flattery will get you - pretty much anything." Jim said with a wink.

"Um, dinner's about ready. We should move this to the dining room." Warrick interjected.

Warrick didn't say much during dinner. He basically sat back and let the two old friends catch up. They seemed to be having a good enough time without him.

Annie watched Warrick throughout dinner and she thought that Warrick didn't seem as friendly as he had in LA. Maybe it was just her imagination.

After dinner, Warrick sat in a chair and read a book while Jim and Annie talked about the *good-ole- days.* Everything Jim said must have been really funny, because Annie laughed non-stop. It was almost midnight before she left. She thanked Warrick heartily for dinner as Jim walked her to the door. She tried to give poor Jim another smooch, but Jim caught her first and placed a kiss on her cheek.

Warrick had already headed to the bedroom by the time Jim got the front door shut. He followed quickly. When Warrick exited the bathroom, Jim looked ready to pounce, but Warrick was in no mood. He made the old excuse - "it's late and I have a headache." So much for hot and heavy fucking. Jim prayed that maybe he could get some tomorrow afternoon, before they went to work.

*******

The following afternoon

Ok, Rick was ready. He hadn't gotten what he'd wanted the previous night. So, when Jim rolled over on top of him that afternoon - he was more than happy to oblige. Annie Kramer became nothing but a blur in the midst of their love making. Jim was quite vigorous for a man who'd been shot three and a half months earlier, but Warrick wasn't complaining. He just wished they had the night off, so they could continue without any interruptions. But, duty called like it always did.

The shift was pretty routine and not terribly stressful. Nick and Warrick had wrapped things up and were in desperate need of some coffee. They plopped themselves down in the lounge and talked their usual shit for awhile.

Their banter was interrupted by the arrival of Jim, Annie, Gil and Catherine, who entered the lounge laughing and carrying on. Nick and Warrick joined in, but Warrick seemed to be a bit subdued. This caused a curious glance from Nick, but he didn't say anything.

After Annie had excused herself, Gil became quite animated. Well, as animated as Gil could become.

"Jim, Annie seems like a very nice lady and she seems quite taken with you. I think she has designs on you," Gil stated frankly.

"Don't be silly. Annie and I have been friends for a long time. She's not interested in a romantic relationship with me. She's just a friendly person."

"I don't know about that, Jim." Catherine chimed in. "I think Gil is right. I think you've got a really good shot at her. Trust me. A woman knows these things. Why don't you ask her out to dinner. I'll bet she'd say yes in a heartbeat."

Nick and Warrick sat silently and waited for Jim's response.

"Guy's, I'm touched by your concern for my love life, but I'm and old bachelor. I'm set in my ways and I really don't have time for romance. Annie is a beautiful woman. She could probably have anyone she wanted. So, why in the hell would she want me? Let's be real here. I 'm not exactly Mr. America."

This was not the response Warrick had been hoping for. He wasn't sure what he expected Jim to say, but it wasn't that. Of course, Warrick knew that Jim couldn't just profess his undying love for him, but he could have at least hinted to his being taken.

Nick knew Rick was upset. He could sense his partner tense up. He decided to jump into the mix.

"Um, maybe we should back off. Jim knows what he wants and if he doesn't want to go out with Annie, we shouldn't pressure him."

"Oh come off it, Nick." Catherine chided. " It would do Jim good to get out and have some fun. He can't spend his whole life cooped up with Warrick."

"Yeah," Jim smirked. "That would be just too horrible."

That did it! Warrick had had enough. He got up, put his coffee cup in the sink and turned to face the crowd with a smile.

"Well, I'm going to take my horrible self home now. I'm beat. Are you coming Nick?" Warrick growled.

"Yeah, man. I 'm coming." Nick knew if he didn't follow, Rick would probably punch somebody out on his way to the locker-room.

As it was, Nick had a hard time keeping up with his bud. Rick had his Rambo walk going and God help anybody who got in his way. He would have mowed them down.

When they got to the locker-room, the first thing Warrick did was punch the nearest locker.

"Ouch! Shit, that hurt."

"Easy there, bud. Calm down. You're workin' yourself up over nothing. You know Jim didn't mean it. It's just his way. When he's put on the spot, he tries to be funny."

"I know, Nick. You're right, but I can't help it. I worry about it. Jim's been with women. Hell, he was married. What if I'm not enough for him? What if he decides he likes women better? Annie Kramer is a hell of a woman. How am I supposed to compete with that?"

"Damn it, man. You've been married too and you've been with countless women. If some pretty young thing comes along - are you going to leave Jim?"

"No, of course not. I love him." Warrick said, with puppy dog eyes.

"Well, then why do you think Jim would do that to you. Jim doesn't strike me as the fickle type. He really doesn't and I can't imagine him throwing you over for Annie Kramer. Trust me. You're a lot prettier."

"Ya think so, huh? I didn't realize you felt that way, Nicky." Warrick was smiling again and Nick thought, 'that's much better‘.

At this point, Jim entered. He saw his Rick and Nick laughing together and felt a stab of jealousy. He knew that they were just friends and his jealousy was irrational, but he felt it none the less. Jim thought that if Nick ever decided to seriously pursue Warrick that he wouldn't stand a chance against Nick‘s charm and sex appeal.
*******

Home sweet home

Jim and Warrick arrived home almost simultaneously. Their morning routine was pretty much the same. Warrick fixed breakfast as usual and then went to take a shower. Jim noticed that Warrick was quieter that he normally was, but he chalked it up to fatigue.

When Jim made his way into the bedroom, Warrick was already in bed asleep. This really wasn't normal. It usually took Warrick awhile to unwind. 'He really must be beat,' Jim thought.

When Jim woke up, Warrick was gone. He felt a moment of panic. So, he hurriedly dressed and headed to the living room.

He didn't find Warrick, but he did find Annie Kramer sitting on his sofa.

"Hey, Annie. What brings you by? Where's Rick?"

"Hello to you too, sleepy head. Um, Warrick's in the kitchen getting me some iced tea. I just stopped in to see if you'd like to have dinner with me before your shift starts. I know it's short notice, but I thought maybe we could catch up some more. I really like your CSI team. They're great. Catherine's a real hoot. She has no problem saying what she thinks."

"Yeah, Catherine's a pistol. I'm glad you liked everybody. They really liked you too. Um, I'm not sure about dinner, though. I think Rick wanted me to go with him to a new restaurant. It has live jazz music."

"That's ok, Jim." Warrick said as he exited the kitchen with two iced teas. He handed one to Annie and one to Jim. "We can go another time. Annie's probably not going to be in town much longer. So, you should go to dinner with her. How much longer will you be in town?" Warrick questioned, with just a little to much anticipation in his voice."

Annie picked up on it. She was beginning to believe her hunch was right. She thought that Warrick had a personal interest in Jim, but she wasn't worried. She had every confidence that she'd be able to get her man.

"I'm not sure, Warrick. A few more days, at least. Maybe longer. You know how bad the red tape is, besides I'm beginning to really like Vegas. And it's giving me a chance to spend some time with handsome, here."

"There she goes again with the flattery." Jim grinned at her."

Warrick was starting to feel nauseous, but he managed to smile through gritted teeth.

"Well, then go ahead and have a good time. I'll see you at work." Warrick stated as he stalked off back toward the kitchen.
*******

Jim called out to Rick, before they left.

"We're going now. I'll see you later, Rick."

"Sure," Warrick replied from somewhere behind the kitchen door. He didn't bother to come out.

Annie yelled, "Bye Warrick. Thanks for the tea."

This time Warrick didn't even respond. Nobody would notice anyway. Jim and Annie were to absorbed in each other.
*******

The date

Dinner was nice enough, but Jim kept thinking that he wished it was Warrick's beautiful green eyes he were looking into. Annie kept talking about how glad she was to see him and eluded to the fact that she'd like to see a lot more of him. Jim really couldn't concentrate on the conversation. He kept thinking about Rick.

Finally, Annie asked, "A penny for your thoughts? You seem so far away."

"Oh, sorry. I was thinking about work."

"You know, all work and no play makes Jim a very dull boy. You need to get out more, relax and enjoy life and I'm just the person who can help you with that."

Honestly, Annie, I do get out and enjoy myself. I‘m a lot more relaxed than I used to be."

"Really? So, who do you go out with? Are you seeing someone?" Annie questioned.

"Well, um… not exactly. I mean… I usually just hang around with Rick. After the shooting, he took me places, ya know. To dinner, jazz clubs, the movies - things like that."

"I see. So, you spend all your off time with Warrick Brown. Do you really think that's healthy. I mean, how stimulating can he be." Annie stated sarcastically.

"You'd be surprised," Jim mumbled, but Annie didn't catch it.

"What was that, Jim?"

"Um, I said, Rick is actually very good company. He's intelligent and witty. We get along really well."

"I'm happy for you, but there's a few things that Warrick can't do for you. I, on the other hand, am perfectly qualified to take care of your needs."

"Annie, that's a good one. You really are a corker." Jim said, laughingly.

Annie just shook her head. How dense could the man be?

With dinner finished the conversation was starting to grate on Jim's nerves
and he finally made the excuse that he had to go in a little early and finish up some paperwork.

Once out in the restaurant parking lot, Annie was all over him. She kissed him passionately and told him she'd really like to make things more personal., but Jim was having none of it. He pushed her away gently and smiled at her. He thought to himself that his friends really had been right. She was after him. Damn!

"Annie, I'm flattered, but were friends and I wouldn't want to risk our friendship by doing something stupid." Jim grinned.

"And just how would getting involved with me be stupid? I think we'd be great together. I'll bet you could get transferred to LA, without a problem."

"Annie, I'm perfectly happy in Vegas. I have a lot of friends here. I don't think I'd be happy in LA. I appreciate the offer, but things are good right now. I'm not the same person I was. Being shot changed my life and it wasn't all bad."

"Jim, just give it some thought. I won't push you, but I really think you should give it some consideration. We could be so good together."

"Annie, I've got to get to work, really." Jim said, as he headed for his car.

"All right, but think about what I said. I'll see later."

"Yeah, I'll see ya, Annie."

Annie was pissed. She couldn't believe Jim had turned her down. Had the man lost his mind? He said that things were good and well, he did seem happy. Annie had a sneaking suspicion that it was all Warrick' s fault.
*******

Several hours later, back at the lab

Catherine and Warrick sat in the lounge going over some case notes. They'd been called to a possible homicide, earlier in the evening, that turned out to be an accidental death. They were just about to head back to the lab, when Annie Kramer came in. She smiled at Catherine and merely nodded to Warrick. She was still pissed, believing him to be the prime cause of Jim's rejection. She didn't know how right she was.

"Hello, Annie. What brings you by?" Catherine asked.

"Hey, Catherine. I was just looking for Jim. Have you seen him?"

"No. Not this evening. How about you, Warrick?"

"Nope. I've been with you all evening." Warrick rolled his eyes at Catherine. She was beginning to suspect that something was up, but she hadn't quite figured it out yet."

"So tell me, Annie - How'd your dinner date go with Jim? I'll bet he jumped at the chance to go out with you."

"It was great, Catherine. I'm so glad you pushed me into asking him out." Warrick shot Catherine a go straight to hell glare and if looks could've killed, she'd have been dead. "He was so attentive." Annie lied. "It was wonderful. I think you were right Cath, Maybe he and I do have a chance."

Catherine knew immediately from the look on Warrick's face that she'd screwed up big time, but she'd just have to wait until Annie left to make amends.

"That's good, Annie. I'm glad you had a nice time." Catherine said, but with a little less enthusiasm.

"Yeah, but the kiss in the parking lot was the best." Annie threw that part in to gage Warrick's reaction and she wasn't disappointed. He looked thoroughly dejected.

"He kissed you?" Warrick asked, trying hard to keep his voice under control.

"Yes. It was wonderful. Jim's a very passionate man. I hope we get to see a lot more of each other. I told him, he wouldn't have any problem getting transferred to LA. He said he'd think about it. So, I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. I'm heading back to my hotel now. If you see Jim, let him know where I went. Tell him he can stop by later, if he wants. Thanks again, Catherine. I appreciate the advice."

"Um, no problem. Take it easy."

"See, ya. Bye Warrick." Annie had a smirk on her face when she exited the lounge, but Warrick didn't see it. She was quite pleased with herself. She thought, ‘there, that should throw a monkey wrench into the works.'

Warrick was seething. He was so angry, he'd started to shake. He wanted to knock Annie Kramer unconscious and then go after his lover. Catherine laid a hand on Warrick's arm, but Warrick batted it away. He stood up and started pacing. He was trying to shake off his anger, but it wasn't working. He couldn't believe that Jim had kissed that woman. How could he?"

Catherine watched for a while. She had been too stunned to say anything right away, but she finally got her calm back and tried to help.

"Warrick, please sit down. It's going to be all right, but damn it - you should've told me. If I had known, I'd never have gotten involved."

"You should have minded your own damn business, Catherine!" Warrick shouted. "Things were going along great until you stuck your nose in it. Now, what am I supposed to do?"

"Easy, Warrick. I'm sure things didn't happen exactly like Annie said they did. I just got the feeling that she was over compensating. I, of course, don't know what did happen, but you need to calm down. You need to discuss this with Jim, but not while you're so wound up."

"Oh, I'm going to talk to him all right! Then I'm going to pack my shit and go to Nick's!"

"Warrick! Sit down. You will do no such thing." Catherine was in full mothering mode now and she would not be ignored.

Warrick sat down next to Catherine. He was close to tears now, but he managed to hold them back.

"Look Warrick, this could have been avoided if you'd just told me. I want you and Jim to be happy. I had no idea that the two of you had become involved. If I had just looked closer, I probably would have figured it out. All the signs were there, but I chose to ignore them. Jim has changed a lot since the shooting and so have you, but I never put two and two together. I'll bet Nick knows, though. Doesn't he?"

"Yes."

"That's why he tried to stop me the day I suggested that Jim go out with Annie. It makes sense now. You could have come to me. I would never do anything to hurt you. I'm disappointed that you didn't trust me."

"Cath, It's not that I didn't trust you. Hell, I didn't tell Nick either. He figured it out on his own, but only because we spend a lot of time together. He picked up on it when he visited me and Jim. We really didn't want anyone to know. If it gets out, Jim will be in big trouble and now we've got that bitch breathing down our necks. I really want to see how Jim explains this one. I don't think Annie lied about the kiss. Why would she?"

"Well, maybe she suspects something. She's pretty savvy. She didn't get to be a police captain for nothing. Please, just get the facts from Jim, before you go off half cocked. There's always two sides to every story. Don't do something you'll regret later. Ok?"

"Ok, I'll ask him calmly what's going on. And he'd better have a damned good answer."

"It'll be fine, Warrick. Now, go get your man." Catherine grinned. "And please don't kill him."

"I won't and thanks, Cath."
*******

The confrontation

Warrick arrived home to find his lover already there. Jim was sitting on the sofa, drinking a cup of coffee and watching something on TV. He smiled when Warrick walked up to him, but the smile faded quickly. He could tell that Warrick was upset. He was instantly worried.

"Baby, are you all right? What's the matter?" Did something happen at work?" Jim asked with concern.

"Work was fine." Warrick stated with an edge of coldness to his voice. "Annie came by looking for you. She said she was headed back to her hotel and if I saw you to let you know you should stop by and see her. So, you'd better get going. You wouldn't want to keep her waiting."

"Why would I go see her? I all ready saw her once this evening. Believe me, once was enough."

"Really? That's not what she said. She said you had a wonderful time. She went on about how attentive and passionate you were. She said that the kiss in the parking lot set her on fire! So, when are you transferring to LA? Do you need some help packing?" Warrick's tone had gotten considerably louder with each passing syllable.

At this point, Jim's mouth was hanging open. He hadn't seen Rick this mad in years. It was erotic and Jim's cock had risen with the volume of Warrick's voice, but this wasn't the time.

"Rick, you can't be serious? I have no intentions of leaving Vegas."

"Well, that's not what Annie said. She said you were all over her and she had high hopes that the two of you could be together!"

"Baby, it's a lie! I did not kiss her. She grabbed me in the parking lot and kissed me. Not the other way around. I pushed her away. I told her that I was very happy in Vegas. I told her that my life had changed for the better, since the shooting and I told her that I didn't want to get involved with her. That's exactly what happened. I love you and you're the only person I want." Jim had risen to his feet and was advancing on Warrick. In only a second they were standing toe to toe, but Rick still didn't look convinced.

"Why would she say something like that, Jim? She was all bubbly and glowing. She was walking on air."

"I don't know, but I have a hunch. I think she suspects that were a couple and she's jealous. But, let me make this perfectly clear - I have absolutely no designs on THAT woman, now or ever!

By this time, Jim had backed Rick up against the edge of the sofa. One push sent Warrick flailing onto to his back. He landed on the couch with a thud and Jim launched himself on top of the startled man. He growled, "You want proof, Rick. I'll give you proof!"

It didn't take long for Jim to divest Rick or himself of their offending clothing. When Jim went down on Rick, the younger man was seeing stars. He didn't complain, not one bit, until Jim left to retrieve the lube from the bedroom. However, all complaints stopped when Jim penetrated Rick's tight opening. Jim thrust hard and deep, striking Rick's prostrate at a demonic pace. All the while, he stroked and twisted his lovers cock, grazing the tip with his thumbnail, until Warrick screamed his release. One, two more thrusts and Jim was following Rick over the edge and into perfection.

Both happy and sated now, Warrick smiled at his lover. Jim smiled back. "So, you believe me now?" Jim said with an *I told you so attitude.*

"Yes, love. I believe you now. That was quite a performance. I really like it when you go caveman on me. It's hot as hell."

"Thanks, baby. I aim to please."

"Pleased doesn't even begin to cover it, but we still have a problem. What are we going to do about Annie Kramer?" Warrick was starting to look pissed again.

"Don't you worry, Rick. You just leave Annie to me. I'll take care of it. I promise and when I'm finished, she'll have no doubts about who I'm in love with."

"Jim, don't say something that's going to get you into trouble. We still have to be discrete. "

"You know, Rick, I really don't care anymore. You're the most important thing in the world and I'd give everything up, just to have you with me forever."

"That's really sweet, but don't get crazy on me. You can still try and be subtle."

"Right! I'm the king of subtle," Jim smirked.

"Ok, I guess that is asking too much," Warrick grinned and kissed his lover. They'd work in all out, one way or another. Warrick's doubts were erased and he was glad he'd taken Catherine's advice, cause if he hadn't he'd be sitting at Nick's right now.
*******

Truth

The next evening, Jim went looking for Annie. He was on a mission. So, when he found her, he didn't waste any time. He came straight to the point, but he did take Warrick's advice about being subtle.

"Annie, we have to talk."

"What's up, Jim? You look stressed out."

"I'm fine, but I wanted to talk to you about some things you told Warrick yesterday."

"Oh, that. Sorry, but I was just trying to be positive, in the hopes that you'd change your mind."

"Annie, I'm not going to change my mind. I've never been happier in my life. I wasn't quite honest with you yesterday. The truth is - I am involved with someone and we're very happy together. I'll do what ever it takes to keep it that way. I like you a lot, but I don't have any romantic feelings for you. I hope you can understand where I'm coming from. You've been a good friend and I'd hate to lose that, but I'm not about to give up the love of my life for it."

Annie raised an eyebrow, but she kept her cool. "I understand Jim. Really, I do. I just thought that we would be a perfect match. I didn't realize you were seeing someone. If I had, I never would've suggested it. Please, forgive me. You don't have to worry, I won't be making anymore foolish passes at you. I'll see ya, Jim. Take care of yourself." And she walked out!

Jim thought, ‘that went over like a lead balloon.' But at least, she knew the truth now and she wouldn't be making anymore romantic overtures.
*******

The hostage

Annie Kramer wanted to find Warrick Brown and bitch slap the shit out of him. She knew he was the love of Jim's life. She just knew it! What the hell was wrong with Jim? How could he have gotten involved with another man? It just wasn't Jim's style. What was so damn special about Warrick?

That question would never be answered. Annie was set to ride with a couple of the LVPD boys in blue. They had asked her to go along with them, so that she could see how things were done in Vegas. She'd agreed and they were waiting for her. Her speculation over Warrick would just have to wait, but she was definitely going to give Warrick Brown a piece of her mind the next time she saw him. She thought, ‘this is going to be a very long night.'

It was about seven thirty in the morning and Warrick was on his way home when he stopped at the convenience store for some gas. The store was deserted, except for himself and the clerk. When he went up to the counter to pay, he noticed that the clerk seemed nervous. So, Warrick started looking around. Then it happened! Two men, wearing ski masks, jumped up from behind the counter and pointed their guns directly at Warrick.

The stand off

Warrick took a deep breath and tried to stay cool. He put his hands up in the air and said, "Hey, I'm just here to get some gas. Don't do anything stupid. You don't want to do something we'll both regret."

The closest gunman waved his gun at Warrick and shouted, "Shut the fuck up and get down on the ground. Face down. Now!"

"Ok. No problem."

Warrick did as he was told. The second gunman came out from behind the counter and put his knee in Warrick's back. He began to pat him down, while the other robber kept his gun trained on the terrified clerk.

"Shit! This mother-fucker's got a gun and a badge. He's a fuckin cop!" The second gunman screamed.

"Wait, no, no. I'm not a cop. I'm a crime scene investigator." Warrick stated resolutely.

"What the fuck's the difference? You're still with the police. We got a big problem here." The second gunman said to the first gunman. "This was supposed to be an in and out. Grab the money and go. Now what are we going to do?"

"Relax. There's nobody around. We'll tie them both up and stash them in the stockroom."

"Ok. Go get some rope."

"You're going to have to watch both of em."

"Just go get the rope." The second gunman said as he got up off of Warrick. He took a few steps back and told Warrick and the clerk not to move.

Unbeknownst to the two hoodlums, the clerk had pushed the emergency button and he knew the police would be on their way. Sure enough, just as the other gunman came back with the rope the police showed up.

Annie sat in the passenger seat of the patrol car and listened as the call came in. They were the closest unit to respond to the call. A convenience store, only a block away. They headed for it, siren blaring.

As soon as he heard the siren, the second gunman dropped the rope he was carrying and yanked Warrick up off the ground. He put his gun to Warrick's temple and told him to walk to the door, while the gunman stayed behind him, effectively shielding himself . When they reached the door the gunman told Warrick to open it slightly. When he did the gunman shouted, "We've got hostages. This one's a cop and if we don't get a car and safe passage out of here, we'll kill this pig and the clerk."

Annie Kramer was stunned. The hostage standing in the doorway was none other than Warrick Brown. She swore under her breath, before addressing the two uniformed officer's. "Damn it! That's CSI Warrick Brown. Call for back up, now! This could get very messy."

One of the officers got on the radio and relayed the information. He made sure all units knew that a CSI agent was involved. There'd be twenty squad cars and a swat team at the scene in a matter of minutes.

Jim Brass was on his way home and he was hoping for a repeat performance of the day before. All he could think about was his lover and what he wanted to do to him. Those images always put a smile on his face. However, his fantasy was shattered by his police radio. A convenience store robbery had gone bad and the perps were holding hostages. One of the hostages was a CSI agent. When the name Warrick Brown came over the radio, Jim's blood ran cold. He had all he could do to keep from crashing the car, when he did a one eighty degree turn at ninety miles an hour.

Jim arrived at the scene in record time. He spotted Annie immediately and made his way over to her. The first words out of his mouth were, "Where's Warrick and what the fuck happened!"

"Take it easy, Jim. Warrick's alive and unharmed, for the moment." Annie stated calmly. "We've been monitoring the situation and we've established that there are two armed gunman in the store. They're holding Warrick and the store clerk hostage. They've demanded a vehicle and safe passage out of here. No one has responded to their demands, as of yet. The sheriff is on his way and so is the store owner. We've got a sharp shooter in position, if an opportunity opens itself up.

Jim growled, "that's just dandy! Somebody get me a megaphone, NOW!"

"Jim, maybe you should wait for the sheriff. He should be here any minute." Annie was looking worriedly at Jim. With Warrick in there, Jim might do something really stupid.

"I'm not waiting another second," Jim bellowed as he grabbed the megaphone out of the officer's hand.

Annie shook her head. This was not going to be pretty. She'd seen Jim on a rampage before. He was like a rabid pit bull and there was just no stopping him.

Jim cleared his throat and raised the megaphone to his lips. "This is Captain Jim Brass with the Las Vegas Police Department. Drop your weapons and release your hostages immediately. Come out with your hands up and hit the ground. You will not be harmed. Things will go easier if you do as I ask. We've already got you for armed robbery. You really don't want to add kidnapping and possibly murder charges to the list."

Jim lowered the megaphone. He got no response from inside the store. So, he handed the megaphone to Annie. Time to change tactics. He signaled to several officers and motioned to the back of the store. "I'm going around back, Annie."

"Jim, don't do this," but it was too late. He was already gone.

As soon as Warrick heard his lover's voice a sense of dread washed over him. He knew Jim would do anything to rescue him and the thought of Jim possibly being shot again was overwhelming. Warrick knew he had to do something and fast, before Jim came busting in and got himself killed.

*******

Annie get your gun

Warrick nodded slightly to the clerk, in the hopes that he would understand, and get down. Warrick Brown was about to take matters into his own hands! A noise, at the back of the store, distracted the second gunman long enough for Warrick to get a punch in. His right fist shot out and connected with the second gunman's jaw. At that moment, the clerk grabbed a baseball bat form under the counter and swung it with all his might at the first gunman. He hit a home run. The first gunman went down and was out cold. Unfortunately, Warrick wasn't so lucky. The punch had stunned the second gunman, but not knocked him out. Warrick lunged at him and tried to wrestle the gun away from him. Their struggle took them onto the floor and the gun accidentally discharged.

Annie Kramer watched in horror as all hell broke loose in the store. She saw Warrick and the gunman go down and then a shot rang out. She'd had enough. Annie and the two officer's she'd arrived with, stormed the front door, followed closely by several other officers and detectives.

The shot had went awry, hitting only a soda cooler, shattering the glass. Warrick was on the ground, flat on his back, with the gunman sitting on top of him. The gunman had gotten control of the gun and it was now pointed at Warrick's face. The gunman was screaming obscenities at Warrick and didn't even notice Annie and the officer's descending on him. One of the officers had gabbed the clerk and ushered him out of the store, post haste.

Annie Kramer, with weapon drawn, yelled, "freeze! Drop the gun! The gunman whirled around and that's when Warrick made his move. He kicked up with his knees and successfully dislodged the hoodlum. The gunman rolled to his side and came up on his feet, facing Annie. He was crazed, at this point, and no longer cared what happened. He raised his gun in Annie's direction.

Annie fired! The bullet struck the perp in the shoulder and he went down, His gun fell to the floor, where Warrick kicked it away, in the direction of the officers.

A crash was heard at the back of the store and a few seconds later a wild eyed Brass and several other officers came busting in. The first thing Jim did was kneel down next to Warrick. He hadn't even noticed Annie. All he could see was Warrick.

"God, Rick! Are you hurt, shot?"

"No! I'm ok, really. I'm not injured at all, Jim." Warrick leaned in and whispered, "We've got onlookers."

Brass looked up to see Annie watching them intently. Then she gave him a little smile.

"It's about time you showed up, Jim. The party's over. Thanks to Warrick and his heroics."

"All I did was punch the guy. The clerk took out the other one with a baseball bat."

"That was really stupid, Rick! You could've been killed! As it is, it's a miracle no one - was killed."

Annie smirked and thought, 'Well, damn. I just saved the life of my number one rival for Jim's affection. How idiotic was that?'

Jim helped Warrick to his feet, as the ambulance arrived to take the two injured thugs to the hospital. Warrick went up to Annie and smiled, "Hey, thanks for coming to my rescue. That was some nice shootin'."

"No problem. I was just doing my job. Even if it was out of my jurisdiction. Hey, Jim. How much red tape is this going to cause me?"

"Probably a lot, but I'll try and get you out of as much of it as I can. After all, you did save a CSI agent's life. We all need to head back to the station. We've got to give statements."

"Damn it, Jim. I'm tired. I want to go home and go to bed. I've been up all night."

"So have I, Rick, but we've got to do it. I'll try and make it quick. Just the facts and then we're out of there."

"Yes, come on boys. It's been a long__ long night." Annie grabbed both men by the arm and with a smile on her face, started for the front door.

Annie go home

A couple of nights later, with the events of the Convenience store holdup behind them, Warrick and Jim took Annie out to dinner. It was the least they could do, after she'd saved Warrick's life. Annie was going back to LA the next day. She figured she'd just about out stayed her welcome anyway.

The next day, Jim took Annie to the airport. He really liked Annie, but he was glad to see her go. His life with Rick was fantastic and he never wanted it to change.

Annie seemed to be her old self again. She must have gotten over Jim's rejection because she was in rare form this morning.

"So, tell me Jim, aren't you going to miss me - even a little?"

"Annie, of course, I'll miss you."

"You're so full of shit, Jimbo." Annie laughed.

"Now, why would you say a thing like that? I consider you one of my closest friends."

"Well, I can't imagine why. Not after the stunt I pulled, but I had to give it a shot. You understand?"

"Sure I do, Annie. I'll just think of it as temporary insanity, on your part."

"Thanks a lot! You really know how to charm a girl. And from the looks of it, you know how to charm a boy too. By the way, I've been meaning to tell you that I think Warrick's a great guy. I don't know what he's sees in you, but hey. Just kidding, Jim. I think you're both very lucky to have found each other. Don't fuck it up!"

"Thanks, Annie. I'll do my best not to *fuck it up,* but you know how I can be sometimes."

"Yes I do. Rude, crude and lewd!"

"That's me, in a nutshell, but I try not to be that way with Rick."

"Yeah, I've noticed." Annie said with a knowing smile."

"I'm surprised you're taking this so calmly. After our little talk the other day, I figured you'd be fuming."

"Oh, I was pissed all right, but I got over it when I realized how much you really love Warrick. I can see the attraction. The man is fine!"

"Isn't he, though." Jim said beaming. Annie thought, 'God, Jim really is love sick.' It was almost endearing, but not quite.

When they arrived at the airport, Jim walked Annie to her boarding gate. They talked for a few more minutes, until the flight was ready to board. Jim gave Annie a big kiss on the cheek and wished her well. It was time for her to go!

As soon as Annie was out of earshot Jim said, "So long, Annie. Hello, Rick!"

*******

Alone at last

Well, another night off, Jim and Rick decided to see if they could get through it without any interruptions this time. Jim had a plan and it didn't include Rick cooking. Jim ordered dinner from a little place that Rick loved and had it all ready and waiting by the time Rick entered the dining room.

"Wow, this looks great, Jim. Did you do this all for me?"

"Yup. It was a lot of work too, dialing that phone, I mean."

Warrick grinned, "Did anyone ever tell you, you're a wise ass?"

"Me, a wise ass. Surely you jest." Jim replied with a matching grin. "Let's eat before all my hard work gets cold. I poured you a glass of wine, babe."

"Thanks. I just hope we can make it through the evening without anyone showing up on our doorstep. If Annie shows up again, I'll tell you right now, I'm throwing her ass out!

"And I'll let ya. No questions asked."

"Good. Let me make a toast then. Here's to never having old friends, or anybody else, darken our doorstep ever again, on our night off, unless it's an absolute emergency!"

"Here, here. I second that one, Rick."

After dinner, the happy couple moved to the living room. Of course, Rick knew they wouldn't be there long. Jim had that caveman look in his eyes again. Warrick loved that look. It always meant - he was in for a real good time.

Rick had just set his wine glass down and turned his head to cough, when the attack came. He'd been expecting it, but it still took him a little by surprise. Jim draped himself over his lover's body and started grinding, but Rick recovered quickly. He easily flipped Jim onto his back and held the man in place. Rick smiled down at his trapped lover and asked in his most seductive voice, "Is there something you want, baby?

Jim growled, " Is there something I want? Let me up and I'll show you exactly what I want."

"Nope, I don't think so. Tonight I'm gonna take what I want. Are you ready?"

Oh, God! Was Jim ready!

Rick hauled Jim up off the couch and kissed him. It was a chaotic dance, across the living room floor, because they were shedding clothes as they went. They finally stumbled to the edge of the bed and fell on it together with Rick landing on top. Rick had no intentions of giving up that position either and Jim seemed perfectly willing to go along for the ride.

Rick bent down and kissed Jim, HARD, pushing him further into the bed. Jim just kind of melted and made a little moaning sound in the back of his throat that sounded like sex. Rick let himself play, for just a minute, in the hot wet heat of Jim's mouth, tasting wine and spice and want. Rick let his weight settle a little into the hands that were stroking his back, as he plundered Jim's mouth.

Rick's hands were on Jim, just holding his waist and his sensuous mouth fit against Jim's own just right. Rick was kind of half-leaning over him and his tongue slipped out to taste him and tangle with Jim's. Rick licked at Jim's lips until the older man was whimpering. Jim was very, very hard. Rick came down on top of him, and oh, the feeling of that strong body over his was magnificent. Rick's mouth slipped down to taste his throat. Jim threw his head back in anticipation. He mewled when Rick dipped down and lapped at the hollow above his collarbone. Rick was smiling. Jim could feel it against his overheated skin. This felt so fucking good. Full-body tingle, oh yeah and Rick's cock was right there, pressed against Jim's thigh and he was rocking against it. Rick's hot mouth was on his nipple, and all Jim could do was rock and gasp and try to breathe.

Rick grabbed for the lube and he hoped Jim couldn't see his hands shaking, but then, Jim wasn't paying much attention, since he was running his hands all over Rick. He slid one slick finger down past the crease of Jim's hip, felt the buck and shiver when he touched his lover's cock, and he couldn't resist giving it a quick pull. It was hot and velvet in his hand, and he lingered, just enjoying the feel. Rick kissed Jim again, enjoying the taste. His hand was slick with pre-come, now and when he dropped his fingers, Jim tilted his hips obligingly, moaning into his mouth. Two fingers in, and Jim took him easily, arching and pushing. He twisted them, looking for the sweet spot and FOUND it, because he'd never heard Jim make that noise before. The panting was harsh now, like there wasn't enough air in the room. Three fingers, and Jim's hands were rough on him now, pulling and grabbing at his hips. Oh, Yeah. Jim was more than ready!

Rick pulled his fingers free and swallowed the 'noooo', from Jim with a kiss. He lifted one of Jim's legs over his shoulder, gently. He lined himself up right, and pushed. Just a little. Jim froze.

'Slowly,' Rick thought" Jim's hands on his hips were holding him tight, now and Rick was biting his lip to keep from howling. He shifted a little, experimentally. Rick felt the body underneath him relax and open. He slid in a little further and felt the tight burning grip of Jim's hot muscle around him. He held still and pushed again. Jim wrapped his other leg around Rick's waist and pulled him in. OH FUCK, that was amazing. Rick was in all the way and rocking SO gently. Jim was making the most incredible keening noise and his skin was sliding slick against Jim's. His hands were so wild. So intent, intense and so damn hot.

Rick moved up a little, bracing on his arms, to get a better angle. He thrust and hit what he was looking for on his first try, because Jim screamed out Rick's name and bucked up off the bed. Rick lifted onto one hand so he could reach between them and get a grip on Jim's cock. Jim was completely out of his head now, blinking fast and nipping at Rick's nipple. He was babbling nonsense sounds. A few more thrusts and Rick would be finished, He could feel it coming, but Jim beat him there, arching up off the bed and coming hard. All the muscles in that tight ass, clamped hard around Warrick's cock, *beautiful.* And this time Rick couldn't help it. He did howl and pressed in one more time. He was unwilling to leave, unwilling for this to end, but he couldn't help it. There was a hot rush of feeling in his thighs and his back. There was an unbelievable tightness between his legs. One more push, and Rick was gone.

Rick collapsed on top of his heavily panting lover and sighed in pleasure. "God, Jim. That was incredible. I've never felt anything even close to that!" Rick smiled down at his lover and rolled onto his side. He pulled Jim with him as he went. Jim had a grin on his face from ear to ear.

"Damn, Rick! You were right about that caveman thing. I think I could get used to it."

"Well, I aim to please, babe."

"Like you once said, pleased doesn't even begin to cover it."

"I believe - we've each proved our love for each other, now. So, there shouldn't be anymore little misunderstandings. Am I right, Jim?"

"Oh, yeah! I believe you. I definitely believe you! And I love you more than anything, Rick, but someone once told me that I could be rude, crude and lewd, at times. So, you won't break up with me if I get cranky every once in a while?"

"Nah. You're always cranky. I'm used to it by now and if I didn't love you, I'd have left your sorry ass already.

The End
