**Author's Note: I'm sure most of you are surprised to see me. But alas, I am still alive. :P I have been so neglectful of our boys, which numerous people have reminded me of. But I haven't forgotten my fic, Counterfeit Love. It's just all my other bunnies seem to be stealing food from my Warrick/Greg bunny, and as she is malnourished, she hasn't been giving me much inspiration. But, perhaps my new cage for her, away from all the other bunnies, will be grounds for improvement. She's already hit me with this idea, maybe a CL idea is in the making. I certainly hope so. In the interim, I come bearing a fic for your enjoyment. Feedback, as always, is greatly appreciated.

Greg shifted slightly, opening his eyes to look around into the darkness of the bedroom, not quite sure what had woken him. Rubbing his eyes sleepily, he glanced around the room, trying to note if anything seemed out of place.

As he began to drift off to sleep once more, he felt the restless movement next to him, the frantic whispers falling from his lover's lips.

Sitting up in the bed, Greg gently shook his partner, waking him slowly from the nightmare he was caught in.

Warrick jolted awake, panting heavily as the images of the nightmare faded away and Greg's voice broke through the horrific memories.

"It's okay, Warrick. Nick's safe. You're safe." Greg said, knowing that Warrick was reliving the horrific moments as they dug for Nick, not knowing what lay waiting for them beneath the earth.

Warrick closed his eyes briefly, the pain and fear washing over him, as memories of their frantic search assaulted him once more.

"I know. But no matter how hard I try to convince myself, the nightmares are still there." Warrick sighed in frustration, hating the helplessness that befell him in the aftermath of each nightmare.

Greg knew there was nothing he could say that would offer comfort to his lover, as there had been nothing for Warrick to say when there roles were reversed a mere 24 hours before.

So instead of whispering nonsensical words, that would only serve to irritate rather than comfort, Greg did the only thing he could. He kissed Warrick softly, before settling against him, wrapping his arms around Warrick and allowing his lover to rest his head on his bare chest. Neither man spoke, there was nothing to say; instead they drew strength and comfort from the warmth of their love as their breathing evened out, signaling sleep.

With a final kiss to his sleeping lover's temple, Greg allowed his eyes to drift shut, knowing that for this night, at least, the nightmares were gone. Tomorrow was another day, and should the nightmares return, they'd face that challenge the same as they had for all the others. Together.
