Don stood in the middle of the living room, looking through the day’s mail.

Credit card bill.

Credit card bill.

Another credit card bill.

Letter from his mom.

Letter from Danny’s sister.

Magazine.

Theatre-Arts School.. Huh?

He stared at the envelope, more specifically at the emblem for the return address. Two faces, masks really, stared back at him. One was smiling, the other frowning.

What the heck was that supposed to mean?

Don furrowed his eyebrows at the envelope. Was it saying that it was happy to be mailed, then sad because it saw him? No, he rolled his eyes, now he was being stupid. He stood there staring at the envelope for quite some time, trying to figure out just what those… things were.

He didn’t even notice Danny come in with a bag of groceries… or Danny almost trip because the groceries were obscuring his vision.

When Danny was done putting the groceries away, he went to the living room to see just why Don, his big, protective, supposedly helpful didn’t help him. He found Don in the state he’d saw him in when he had come in. Weirdo.

Danny glanced at Don, then the envelope, then at Don again. He shook his head and didn’t trying to think of why Don was staring at the envelope-- He decided asking was easier, so he did just that.

“What are ya doin’?” Danny asked nice and bluntly, raising his eyebrow at Don.

“Tryin’ ta figure out what these face things are,” Don replied, finally breaking his gaze from the envelope.

Danny laughed at that and shook his head. “Doofus, they’re comedy n’ tragedy.”

“Eh?” Don asked, clearly still confused.

“Mask symbol things… for theatre!” Danny clarified.

“Oh, so it’s not ‘cause the second face is sad to see me?” Don asked, making sure.

Danny stared at him in disbelief for a moment, then shook his head and walked away. Don could figure that one out on his own.

A/N: Let's just say the letter was like an advertisment for a play. :)
