Adam had never said anything, but he figured that Mac must have figured it out by now. After all, he was a very smart man.

One look, one small graze of fingers under the pretense of exchanging evidence, and the butterflies in Adam's stomach would flutter up a storm. He would find himself flustered, stammering and stumbling over his words as he explained some interesting fact he'd discovered while processing the evidence at hand, face aflame with embarrassment at the overwhelming affect Mac had over him.

Stella found it cute, Lindsey would smile and shake her head, Danny and Sheldon would tease him about it on occasion, and Don would ignore it and pretend (most of the time) that he didn't notice the interplay. But Adam didn't mind.

Because at the end of the day, when Mac opened the door with that same intense look, there was no pretense as he took Adam's hand in his, pulling him into the cozy confines of his home. The butterflies in Adam's stomach would flutter to life once again, only to be quelled by a wave of desire as Mac pulled him in for a deep kiss. Writhing under Mac, Adam would find himself a quivering mass of nerves, his face flushed with something far more pleasurable than embarrassment, unable to form mere words as Mac finally pushed him over the edge.

Yeah, Adam is pretty damn sure that Mac has it all figured out. But he'll never ask him, because Adam is a very smart man as well.
