A/N #1: Hi this is Chris, I used to go under the name cjabatfan but I changed
internet providers so I also had to change my name here to cjacsifan...I hope
you continue to read and rate my stories.

A/N #2: This is what I think would have been a missing scene if Sara and Sofia
were actually involved during this episode.

Sara drives along the strip as she heads for the place where she knows Sofia
went after leaving Grissom's office after their confrontation, all the while
playing the dialogue over and over in her head.

It nearly killed Sara not to be able to go after Sofia as she left the CSI lab,
but she knew if she had it would have outed both of them to all of the friends
and co-workers which is something neither woman would have been able to handle
at this very minute.

The reasons were as plan as day; One being that romances between law enforcement
personnel was frowned upon, even though Sara wasn't a police officer CSI did
work hand in hand with the LVPD, and secondly it was a lesbian romance which for
sure would have gotten them fired and most likely shunned not only in the Las
Vegas Police community but in any other state and city in the U.S. had either of
them tried to get a position elsewhere.

Sara makes it to her and Sofia's 'special spot' in the desert a few miles out of
town, it was their spot because it was the first place Sara took Sofia on a
first date which was a sunset picnic, and it was the place each woman proclaimed
their love for each other; so Sara knew Sofia would be there.

As Sara quietly walks up behind Sofia who is sitting just staring at the sunset,
she notices the tear streaks on her cheeks, "Hey you," Sara says quietly.

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to see how my girlfriend is holding up."

"Not too well as you can tell," Sofia says in a voice thinck with tears.

Sara sits behind Sofia and encompasses her in an embrace reminiscent of a mother
bird protecting her chick with her wings, "I'm sorry sweetness for the things I
said back at the lab...God knows I regretted them immediately."

"That's okay baby, I know you were just looking out for me and for that I am
thankful...by the way how did you get away from the lab?"

"I told Grissom I had to get an extra set of clothes from my place because I
hadn't changed clothes in nearly 48 hours, thank heaven he knows what a
germophobe I am," Sara says chuckling.

"God I wish this was over."

"It will be soon sweetness and then we can go on with our life."

"But what if I was the one who shot Bell...what then?" Sofia says again on the
verge of tears.

Sara turns Sofia around so the two are face to face, "Sofia listen to me,
nothing happens, until it happens, if it happens...so please stop thinking
negatively."

"Sara that's all I can do is think that way, I keep playing the scene over and
over in my head and I'm just not sure if I did shoot Bell...God knows what will
happen to me if I did," Sofia says as the tears begin once more.

"Sweetness, whatever does happen, WE will deal with it, I am not going to let
you go through this by yourself because I love you so much," Sara says as she
tightens her hug on Sofia.

"I love you too Sara...I guess we better get going so you can get to your place
and change into some new clothes," Sofia says as she slowly moves out of Sara's
hold, gets off the ground and helps Sara to her feet.

"Thank you Baby...God only knows what I would do without you...I love you."

"Don't worry sweetness because that will not be happening anytime soon...I love
you too."

The two women share a sweet kiss as the sun sets and they go their separate
ways.
