Greg stood anxiously in the room as he oversaw a dead man who lay sprawled over his floor. The cause of death could be seen clearly from the marks from around his neck - he'd been strangled with wire. It struck him whilst surveying the room that there were quite a few photos of the man with another man. A friend? His brother? Partner? If the another man was the latter, then Greg couldn't help that homophobia may have been the motive for this crime or that maybe the deceased's boyfriend was the killer; either way Greg would have to dig deep and not become emotionally too involved.

Later on, confirmation told Greg that the dead male was called David Simpson, a HIV-Positive homosexual who lived with this partner Tony Browne. Naturally, Browne was brought in for questioning by Brass in case it was a case of 'crime passionelle'.

Greg observed the interview from the two-way mirror situated inside the room and soon Tony began telling his side of events.

'I come home, a hard day's work behind me and I just want to chill out, watch The OC or something and then and all of a sudden he goes solemn on me. Says he needs tell me something. That it's important.'

'I bet it was important,' said Brass, 'he told you he was HIV-Po, didn't he? And then you flipped and killed him?'

'No!' said Tony. Then 'Well, he did tell me, but...I was taken aback, I became irrational...I was angry.'

'And then you killed him?'

Tony bowed his head.

'I just...lost it. He just told me, like it was no big deal. And how he was expecting me to support him. He disgusted me. He probably had affairs and that's how he got it. He sure as hell didn't get it from me - the stupid fucking faggot!'

Greg looked on, aghast at what he was hearing. He decided to leave. Brass had got his confession, so the show was over and so was his shift. Greg retreated to his new office and seated himself behind his desk. Shortly, Nick showed up in his leather jacket.

'You okay?'

Greg looked up. He smiled, so pleased to see Nick and went over and pressed himself against the man he loved; Nick responded with a tender hug.

'Hey, what's the matter?'

Greg unclasped himself away and looked directly into Nick's face.

'This case that I was on - it's just been wrapped up, this guy murdered his boyfriend. It was so sad and horrible to hear his confession - the boyfriend was HIV and all he would have ever wanted would've been was to be still loved by the man he was in love with. Instead, the guy - Tony Browne - strangles him.'

'An unfortunate overreaction. His lost now. If he strongly loved him, then he wouldn't have killed him.'

'I just think how lucky we are. What if anything ever happened to us-'

'Hey, I'd love you regardless. You know that.'

Nick hugged him again and then placed his forefinger and thumb under Greg's chin.

'Come on, Greggo, how about we show this crazy city what love's really about?'

Greg smiled.

'Viva Las Vegas!'
