Horatio looked around the house and smiled; it was perfect. It was far enough away from the city to get away from the noise and masses of people, yet close enough that they could go into town when they wanted. It had four bedrooms, the master suite large with a sitting area and a patio going out to the extensive backyard, which led directly to a section of the rainforest.

He walked through the gourmet kitchen, pausing at the small den that was located just off of it. It really was perfect. Gil and Speed would love it.

"How much?"

"It's in your price range," the realtor informed easily. "You would even have money left over for renovations."

He glanced back at the kitchen, knowing full well Speed would want to adjust some of it; though huge, there were some elements that were outdated. But the beauty of it was the large windows that looked out to the backyard. He stepped out onto the patio and took a deep breath; it was peaceful. He could already see himself lying out on the hammock, just relaxing.

"Do you want me to put an offer on it?" she asked.

"Yes." The realtor nodded and left to head back to the office. Horatio grabbed his phone and dialed the familiar number.

'Where are you?' Speed asked, answering the phone.

"I'm sending you directions, get Gil and meet me here." He hung up and quickly emailed the directions via his phone.

He took a seat on the small block wall that separated patio from the backyard. They would probably need to put up some type of fence. As much as Gil liked to bring foreign bugs into their life, they didn't need foreign animals using their porch as a nesting station. The sun felt good on his face. The past three months had been difficult, but some of the best months of his life.

He had never gone back to Miami, just sent in his resignation and had his lawyer pack up anything personal from the beach house, and then sell everything else along with the house. He cashed out his pension and with the money from the house, he stashed it into an offshore account. Brazil was their home now, so there had been no reason to keep any ties to Miami.

They had been living in a small rented beach house just outside Rio, but he could tell the mass of people was starting to get to Gil. Though the older man didn't complain, he could see the strain. It was Yelina that had mentioned this place to him, so he contacted the realtor and asked to see it. At first she had tried to talk him out of it, saying it needed work and was out of the way, and had a high ticket price. Once he informed her of his price range she agreed to show it to him. Commission goes a long way.

He looked up when he heard footsteps approaching; turning, he smiled at the two men. "So what do you think?"

Gil stepped out on the patio and stared out towards the backyard. "Now that's a view."

"I'm sure it's filled with bugs," Speed grumbled goodheartedly. "Why are we here?"

"I bought it."

They both stared at him in shock. Gil looked around the property then back at Horatio. "How?"

"I sold my beach house in Miami..." He frowned at Speed's shut off expression. "Speed? What's wrong?"

Tim shrugged slightly and bit back the hurt he was suddenly feeling. "It's nice, H."

The redhead stood up and moved to the younger man. He wasn't sure what he did wrong, but Speed had efficiently closed him off. "Did you see the kitchen?"

He looked back at the dated kitchen then back at the redhead. "It's dated and needs work."

"Why did you bring us up here?" Gil asked curiously.

Horatio stepped back and looked at the two of them. "To show you this place; it’s perfect for us."

"Us?" Speed asked quietly.

"The three of us. That place by the beach is crowded at best... The parties are making Gil's migraines worse. I swear you're going to kill our neighbor... Yelina showed me a picture of this place and I knew it was ours. The kitchen needs work, but I know you can design something amazing. And there’s this small den right off of it that would be perfect for Gil's office, even has direct access to the bugs."

"You should have told us. This is a huge investment and we should have been apart of it..." Speed said. He wasn't happy the fact Horatio just went out and bought a house for them. He wanted to be part of the process, find something for all of them. Even if, yes, the place was perfect from what he could see.

Horatio stepped back and frowned. "I wanted to give you guys something that you had given me. A home."

At that moment Horatio's reasoning was quite clear to Grissom. Horatio was a provider, he would always be; it was engrained him to take care of those he sees as his family. The fact he bought a house for them, was his way of showing them they are his family. A structure to prove that this was what he wanted, all of them together. He, like Tim, would have preferred if he had mentioned it and let them in on the whole thing, but he understood Caine's perspective.

He stepped up to the redhead and smiled. "Thank you."

Horatio looked back at Tim, who was still slightly frowning at them. "Speed?" He hesitated. "You’re awfully quiet... I take it you don't like."

"It's not that." Speed ran a hand through his hair. "You made a decision without us."

He was a bit tired of still screwing his life up. It seemed he could never make a right decision, what ever he did - someone got hurt. He had wanted to provide them a home, and it seemed he just screwed up again. Well at least he could fix this mistake. "I'm sorry." He turned and left the patio. He grabbed his phone and would tell the real-estate agent that he had changed his mind.

Gil rolled his eyes at Tim, and took after the redhead. "Horatio, wait."

He turned towards Gil, phone up to his ear. Grissom grabbed the phone and flipped it shut. "It’s a perfect house for us. You were right in snatching it up quickly."

"Speed's right; I should have contacted you guys, before making a decision for all of us." Horatio leaned against his car. "You know, sometimes I don't feel as if I can get anything right anymore. It's not easy, doing one thing for Speed then having it not work for you or vice versa."

"It's a beautiful home," Speed said, stepping up to them. "I'm sorry, H, I should have seemed a bit happier but at first I thought you were just moving away from us."

Horatio shook his head. "No... I… Is that what you thought?"

Speed sighed and joined him against the car. "We so need to work on this whole talking thing."

"We're getting better, at least no black eye this time." Gil smirked. "The house is perfect. No denying it. And I can't wait to see the rest of it. So how's this....you bought the foundation; let us build the home."

Speed smiled. "No one is touching that kitchen but me. God, it’s outdated."

"Has a nice structure to it," Horatio pointed out.

"I love the windows, but the countertops are avocado green." He cringed in horror.

"Come on, let's see the rest of the place." Gil turned back and headed back inside.

Speed stood in front of Horatio and took his face into his hands, kissing him softly. "I love you."

"I love you, too." He rested his hands on the younger man's hips. "Let’s go see our home."

They turned to see Gil watching them; he had a soft smile on his face and love in his eyes. "I was thinking... spa tub and a steam shower..." The three men headed back inside to figure out how to make the house a home.
