_______________

Tony was on the window seat; knees up to his chin and drinking beer. He looked out the window and sighed, happily.

It has been two months since he moved to New York and he was feeling more settled in now. Tony smiled; yeah, he was much a part of the team, perhaps a family now. He didn’t think of Gibbs not even once in two weeks now...damn, he just thought of him! Tony chuckled and shook his head.

It was raining outside. Tony was still living at Don’s apartment but it was empty as Don was out with Danny so it gave him a good opportunity to think about the past two months.

Tony had some great moments but equally bad moments. He thought about the moments and mentally chose 3 best and 3 worst moments, Tony smiled – like choosing 3 best movies and 3 worse movies.

The third best moment was the first basketball game...Tony chuckled as he remembered going up to the roof and was shocked to see the basketball court. He has never played basketball on the top of a building. The first time he played, it was a great experience. It was like playing in the clouds, the wind on his face as he played. What made it even a better experience was that everyone were there, Stella, Mac, Hawkes, Danny, Don...hell even Sid! Of course, Sid and Stella were watching, while the rest of them were playing. Tony and Danny played against Don, Mac and Hawkes. Tony and Danny were on the same team because they were semi-pro players and of course they won the game. It was also THE game which welcomed Tony into the team and it’s why that it made into the three best moments.

The second best moment has to be Mac Taylor. They worked together on several cases. He heard from the others that Mac was a hard person to please. Tony wanted to please Mac; he wanted to make Mac proud of him. The others told Tony that if Mac invited him to Sullivan’s, an Irish bar they often went to, it meant that Mac considered him a part of the team. Tony waited for the invitation but it didn’t come – not for a few weeks...until last week. It was a bad case that Tony was working on. It was a child abuse case and Tony had to deal with the boy, who was sexually abused by his father. Tony found it difficult through the case because of his history. At the end of the week, Mac came to him and told him that he thought Tony has done really well with the boy, comforting him and saying all the right things instead of lying to the boy and telling him that things will be fine. Mac surprised Tony by telling him that he knew about his father and the past. Tony had to grimace. He knew that it was in his personnel files but he didn’t expect Mac to mention it. What surprised Tony even more was that Mac invited him to Sullivan’s. He remembered staring at Mac smiling at him and suddenly Tony’s heart jumped for joy. At long last, Tony was a part of the team!

Now, this is one best moment that Tony will cherish forever, no matter what happens, the moment he met Adam Ross. Now, Tony had to laugh. He has heard Mac and Stella talking about Adam. The way they talked about Adam was soft and gentle. He remembered Stella asking Mac how his boy was. Tony thought that Adam was his son...until he saw Mac stroking the back of his head at the labs. Tony was startled at the gesture. He saw how much Mac loved Adam, he saw Mac whispering to Adam, asking him if he was okay to come back to work. When he was introduced to Adam and spent time with him, Tony knew that he has found a good friend in Adam. Adam was a fun guy. He loved movies and all kind of gadgets. Adam reminded Tony of Abby and McGee. Adam was a geek like McGee; he was much into computers and everything; but he was also like Abby, Adam loved his science, Tony just enjoyed being with Adam.

Tony sighed. When he discovered that Adam was Mac’s partner...specifically, his puppy, Tony was rather shocked. He started to look at the rest of the team closely and realized that this was the team who were also a family but also a family of people involved in the BDSM lifestyle. It was his third worse moment, realizing that everyone on the team were either a Dom or a sub. He sighed heavily. Tony was suspicious that Don was Danny’s Dom but he never asked. Tony didn’t feel that he had the right to ask. Tony looked out the window again and felt a little sad, he was once again reminded that he was without a Dom.

His second worse moment, although it was also one of the best moments, was Tony spending time with Adam and found it increasing difficult to not touch him with affection. Adam was like a puppy. He remembered helping Adam through the difficult times and learnt about Adam’s past with his father. Adam was the first person of the team, apart from Don, which Tony shared his experiences with his father. They found a lot of things in common. It made Tony want to look after Adam, to love him. Yes, Tony was slowly falling in love with Adam Ross and couldn’t do anything about it. It was moments like these which reminded him that Tony was really a switch. He remembered his past sub, Jerry. Jerry was almost like Adam. Tony didn’t like to punish or to give rules etc. He was the kind of a Dom who liked to pamper and look after his subs, almost like a puppy. Adam was just perfect for him.

Tony rested his forehead on the glass. He thought about being Gibbs’s sub. He loved being his sub; Tony loved kneeling. He needed to be tied up and to follow rules. He loved being spanked. But at the same time, there was always a lingering need at the back of his mind, the need to pamper, the need to Top. Gibbs never asked and Tony never said.

And this led to the first worst moment; the need to submit was getting bigger. Tony needed to be on his knees; to be tied up and to be told what to do. He sighed heavily. He wanted to go back to D.C and ask Gibbs to dominate him. Gibbs was the only one who could give Tony what he needed. But at the same time, Tony knew that he couldn’t go back – not when he realized that he was also a Top. He couldn’t be a sub only or be a Top only. Tony knew that Gibbs wouldn’t accept this, because Gibbs wasn’t the kind of person to share his sub with someone else.

He looked out the window; to the people walking below him, and wondered about the each of them. Tony wondered if they were going through the same thing as he was.

Yes, Tony was getting settled in but he was also resisting the need to submit.
