He stared at the square box like it was an alien object.

"And you're sure it's for me? Not for you?"

"Yes, I'm sure. It has your name on it, see?"

Greg looked expectantly at him, but when Nick just kept staring at the box, Greg poked him in the side.

"Come on, open it up! It's not gonna explode or something. I'm pretty sure it won't anyway. Nana got rid of all of Papa's chemical stuff after he blew up the kitchen…"

Greg trailed off, lost in memories for a few seconds, then realized Nick was staring at him with wide eyes and his mouth slightly agape.

He giggled, then poked Nick again.

"Come on, open it up. I'm dying to know what Papa Olaf sent you. He didn't mention anything to me…"

Nick looked back at the package, eyeing in wearily.

"Yeah, that's what's worrying me. But we'll never know what it is until I open it, won't we?"

Greg nodded eagerly, and Nick carefully picked up the box, unwrapping it slowly. The first thing he saw when he opened the box, was a folded piece of paper. It was a letter in Papa's small but neat writing.

Nick,

I was cleaning the attic, and came across these, and thought you'd like them.

Love to you and Gregory,

Olaf

He looked up from the letter when he heard a loud groan. Greg was peering into the box, eyes wide, murmuring, "God.. I didn't know he kept these.."

Then he looked up at Nick and made a grab for the box, but Nick was faster.

"Oh no, you don't. Now I really want to know what's in there. It can't be that bad."

Greg flushed and buried his face in his hands, embarrassment rolling off of him in waves.

"Yes it can," was his muffled reply.

Nick just rolled his eyes at him, then peered into the box.

And then he laughed.
