Title: Opera
By: Dr FooFoo
Pairing: Danny/Don
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Based upon prompt #81 - Opera.

Not to feed on stereotypes or anything, but Danny really likes the opera. And it's not just because they're singing in Italian, really. It's just... it's more than that, and he can't really explain it. It's just so beautiful, and he could listen to it all day. He does, sometimes, in fact. He's got CDs and he's definitely got a stereo (he's Danny, of course he has a stereo).

Anyway, because he so enjoys the opera, he often tries to... spread his love, shall we say. So one day, he left a ticket in Flack's inbox at the precinct. Of course, Flack was way confused for a while, but then he figured... who else but Danny would leave a ticket to Puccini's Il trittico? So, when he got home that night, he called Danny, who told him to come over right away.

When Flack arrived at Danny's place, he was totally surprised to find Danny... in a tux. A freakin' tux, and it was all Flack could do to not tear it off and hump Danny against the kitchen counter. However, Danny was holding a second tux, and that couldn't be good.

Several hours later, Flack was finally in his tux, Danny looked severely mussed, and it was almost time for the opera. Flack drove (because Danny's too cheap to have a car) them to the Metropolitan Opera at the Lincoln Center in Manhattan, and they quickly found their seats.

Now... Flack had never been to an opera before. All he knew was that some fat lady was supposed to sing or something. And for someone like Flack, going to the opera for the first time can be quite a frightening experience. And by frightening, I mean immensely boring. Danny, of course, was completely captivated, and sat forward in his seat, watching the stage with wide eyes from behind his glasses. Flack even thought he saw a tear slide down Danny's cheek, but he figured he must have imagined it.

By the time the end of the first act finally rolled around, Flack was about to go crazy. Not only was the tux way itchy, but sitting in such close proximity to Danny for so long was kind of making him a little... hard. And by a little, I mean a lot. He kept 'accidentally' brushing his knee against Danny's thigh, but of course, Danny was too entranced by the opera and didn't notice.

So, needless to say, when everyone stood and exited to the lobbies for intermission, Flack grabbed hold of Danny's arm and all but dragged him over to a dark little corner. Danny however, being the clever man he is, saw this coming a mile away, and warded all of Flack's advances in the corner. Flacky was very disappointed...

Okay, like, a lot of hours later (operas take a long time... especially operas with three long-ass acts), Flack was about ready to die. He'd already fallen asleep and been jostled awake by sobbing behind him several times. *Finally*, the opera was over, and Flack absently stood up when Danny leapt to his feet, clapping frantically.

When the standing ovation was over, Danny took Flack's arm and dragged him to his feet, then outside into the lobby, and finally into the parking lot, where they just kind of sat in Flack's car, cause no *way* were they getting out of there any time soon, with the traffic. Danny was ecstatic, rambling about how beautiful the lead female's voice was, and how he remembered going to operas when he was really young and hating them, and he thought Flack behaved very well, and Flack kissed him.

Because it was pretty much the only way to shut a Danny up; the tried and true method. Flack just leaned over and planted a big, sloppy kiss on Danny's lips, and Danny just stared at him with wide eyes. Once he got over the shock of being silenced by something like that, he smirked a little and grabbed the front of Flacky's tux, pulling him closer and kissing back, hard.

Well... they made out in the car for quite some time, until most of the honking outside had subsided, then Flack guided them out of the lot and back to Danny's place near Central Park. Where they humped profusely all through the night.

THE END! XD
