Greg sat at his workstation on Monday morning, pissed at the world and needing to talk to Nick.

Nick had finally surpassed himself this time. When the dark haired man finally appeared Greg followed him into the break room.

"Oh, hey G! Coffee?" Nick asked offering a cup towards Greg.

"No." The spiky blonde continued to glare at Nick, who was obviously starting to catch on and get nervous.

"Whassup, Greg? You're starting to creep me out"

"You don't have a clue do you?"

"About what? You know I hate this game."

"Just think what happened 6 months ago yesterday. Think where I told you I would be, all you had to do was show up!" Greg said in a very hostile tone adding only to worry Nick more. As the Texan racked his brain, a light bulb switched on in his head.

"Our anniversary! Oh shit G, I am so sorry!" Nick babbled and reached out to stroke Greg's cheek only for him to move away from the caress.

"Sorry! All I get is sorry, I waited outside that restaurant for 3 hours, in the fucking rain! I could deal with you forgetting Valentines or not picking me up. So you better have a damn good reason for not meeting me las night." Greg didn't want to yell so he decided on harsh words through his teeth.

"Well it's just.... I mean.... I had to..." Nick started to stutter an apology just before Greg huffed a fleeting "Fuck you, Nick." and quickly exited the glass doors. Nick sighed as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a black ring box.

*damn it*

Greg was dozing on his couch after work when someone started knocking on his door.

"This better be good." He cried as he padded towards the door. Nick stood on his porch looking like a drowned rat. "what do YOU want?" Greg asked crossing his arms across his chest at the sight of Nick shivering in the rain.

"I was ho-hoping to come in b-because I just walked h-here from my pl-place." Nick chattered through his teeth. Greg stepped aside to let Nick in.

"Why did you walk all the way here? Your place is ½ way across town." Greg couldn't not take pity on Nick when he standing shivering in his hallway. "Even though I waited in the rain for you, there was a bit of shelter there. Come on there are a few of your shirts and pair jeans in my closet." As Greg went to remove Nick's coat he stepped back.

"Wait there's something I have to do. Greg for as long as I've known you there was something that drew me to you, something I couldn't explain. I know I forget a lot of things, like Valentines and dates but I didn't forget our anniversary. I tried to call your cell but I couldn't get a connection. I couldn't meet you because I was getting these." Nick reached into his pocket and produced the black box. As he opened the box to reveal to identical silver bands, Nick lowered himself onto one knee. Greg gasped as he realised that Nick wasn't kidding around. "Greg Hojem Sanders will you be by husband-partner-thing?"

"YES! Yes, yes, yes!" Greg practically squealed. Once Nick had slipped the ring on Greg's finger and stood up Greg leapt at him wrapping his legs round his waist kissing any air out of his lungs.

"I love you Greg." unfortunately Greg was a little too preoccupied with the juncture between Nicks jaw and neck to form a coherent sentence.
