Rainstorm

Greg sat staring at the Cancun Resort Pamphlet, two more days and so long Vegas, hello Cancun. Jim had surprised Greg a few months ago by suggesting that they go to the resort for their first anniversary of the "bar pickup".

Greg was stuck in the DNA lab once more. He was waiting for results as his mind drifted to their up coming vacation

A nude Jim lay back on the lounger in the private patio at the resort. Plants acted as screens between the rooms with bits of openings for the air to breeze through. Small rays of light fell from the sun giving the patio a feel of one being alone in the world. A nude Greg carrying two drinks joined Jim. After setting the drinks down and picking up the lotion Greg straddled Jim. He poured the lotion in his hand then warmed it. His hands ran lovingly over Jim's chest and arms. Lips touching as he leaned into his lover. Kisses became hot and deep, taking their breaths away. Hands roamed over the bodies caressing all the sweet spots. Their cocks growing hard as need grew in them.

Greg reached for the condom and lube that sat on the table sliding the condom on Jim's swollen manhood and then the lube. He moved positioning himself over his lover's hard cock and lower down on to it. The cock slowing opening him up as it stretched his body. Then he started up until almost coming off only to slide back down, the two lovers continued in this slow paced dance. Making love slowly in the sunlight

"Hey Greg, do you have the results for me, yet?" called Warwick as he walked into the lab.

Greg snapped out of his day dream just in time to pick up the paper and hand it over to Warwick. He took the paper and turned heading out of the lab as he read the report. He said a thank you as he was leaving never noticing the bulge in Greg's pants. After checking the hall Greg slipped out of the lab and down to the restroom where in the privacy of a stall finished the day dream then returned to the lab after cleaning up. While processing the next batch of evidence Greg thoughts turned to how he had ended up in the lab for a week.

Las Vegas rarely had more than a day or two of stormy weather. But it was almost a week ago that the ugly gray clouds rolled into the valley. The first day had been mostly just cloud cover with bits of sprinkles here and there that lasted only minutes at a time. That night as the team headed out to the first of many calls the clouds slowly opened up. The rain changed from sprinkles to a light rain. And as they moved to the next call it changed into a heavy rain continuing until it was a downpour by the time they returned to the lab. The calls just kept coming in day and night as the rain continued. The rain seemed to lighten up during the day but as Gil and his team would head for work each evening it would pick back up.

Everyone was tired, wet and grumpy from the weather. It seemed as if half of the lab was in some phase of a head cold or flu. Gil had been walking around the lab spraying all the door handles and phones for the last few days. He had even order that every phone have a can of Lysol or wipes by it.

And he had emailed, voice mailed and commanded that they be used or else!

On the fifth day Gil had walked in from his shift almost three hours late to find Nick on the bathroom floor with his head hanging over the toilet. He helped his young lover into the bed. Gil pulled an empty trash can over to the side of the bed just in case then headed for a shower. After checking on Nick and finding him sleeping Gil fell into bed and was asleep in minutes. A few hours later Nick woke Gil as he move out of the bed. Nick barely made it to the bathroom holding on to the walls, bed, dresser and anything else that could hold him up. Gil jumped up dressed and called the doctor. After Nick saw the doctor Gil called in that he would be staying home with Nick for at least the next four days.

Ecklie had called in for help from other crime labs with almost half the staff out. Warrick and Sara were the only ones left from Gil's team still able to do field work. Greg had been pulled already for the lab as almost all of the techs were either on off-work orders or had been on leave before the start of all the problems. The other shifts were just as bad off and short handed.

"Morning, Greg. I'm here to take over, barely!" Snuffled Sandy as she walked in with a box of tissues under her arm.

As the rain reached its seventh straight day a large portion of Las Vegas roads had become at least partially flooded. The calls had slowed down due to a request by the mayor for people to stay home if at all possible and off the roads. Many stores, malls and theaters were closing early. Still traffic was a nightmare. Trying to get around the city was taking any where from twice to four times as long.

The city was waterlog and quiet by the ninth day as the clouds started to move out of the valley. The sun coming out late in the day with a bright shining rainbow as a signal of change for the city. Gil cuddled Nick to him as they watched the changing sky. A few more hours and Gil would be heading back into work. Nick was much better and Gil felt safe in leaving him home alone.

This was Greg's last night in the lab then he was off on three weeks of vacation. Can you believe it, three whole weeks and in just over twelve hours Jim and Greg would be flying off to a sunny gay resort in Cancun where they would get to live Greg's day dream for real!
