Nick had it all figured out. It had taken months of planning and diverting his lover from snooping into his elaborate surprise. He had pulled out his best suit. The dark grey designer suit, was worth the considerable bucks it set him back; add on the black silk shirt and it was guaranteed to get Gil hot and bothered by the night's end.

He looked down at his list, and checked off what had been accomplished.

Reservations - check.

Gift - check.

Gil - unchecked.

He looked over at the clock, then at the front door. He told Gil to be home exactly at six o'clock.

Nick had plans.

Nick had reservations.

His eyes narrowed. Ten-to-one odds said his lover got caught up in the lecture and was asking the lecturer a gazillion questions on some obscure bug in the middle of the South American jungle.

The sound of rattling keys alerted him to the presence of his lover. Nick flung the door open and glared at him. "I said six!"

"It's six-fifteen..." Gil paused and looked at Nick's outfit. "Going somewhere?"

"Yes!" He pushed Gil towards the bedroom. "You now only have fifteen minutes to change. If you were here by six you would have had thirty."

Grissom stood in the middle of their bedroom, staring at the closed bedroom door. "You now only have ten minutes!" The older man bit back a chuckle and quickly changed into the suit lying out of him on their bed. He had learned early on in their relationship; if Nick had a list and a schedule do not get in his way. Though there were tried and true ways of distracting the Texan from his details, but this time Gil decided to see what his lover was up to.

He stepped out of the room with a minute to spare. Nick already had their jackets and keys in his hands. Grissom couldn't help but to toy with his lover just a bit as he pulled Nick into his arms and kissed him a slow, exploratory type of kiss. His tongue slipped inside the warm mouth, tasting, sliding over Nick's tongue before he stepped back, grinning.

"No distracting me," he panted. "I've got plans."

"Even if I just want to stay home and make love to you all night?" Gil asked a mischievous grin on his face.

The younger man moaned, "I hate you sometimes." He opened the door and pointed towards the car. "Get! We got an hour to make our reservation and this is Vegas, on a Saturday night."

"Lead the way." Gil gestured. "I have to admit I'm curious to what you've got planned. You've been plotting for months."

Nick just gave him a wicked smile. "Your birthday only comes once a year."

Gil looked at his lover. "And each year you make it more memorable." He took Nick's lips in a soft kiss. "And I love you for that."

"Fifty-five minutes." He pointed to the car.

"Slave driver," Gil said as he headed towards the Tahoe.

Grissom looked out the window, the view was spectacular. He sipped his wine and smiled over at Nick. Moments like this made him fall in love all over again. There was something he'd said on one of their first dates, and Nick remembered it.

"It's not really Paris, but I hope you like it." Nick blushed slightly.

"It's perfect." Gil looked out the window, down at the strip. "Dinner at the Eiffel Tower. Thank you Nicky."

"Their chocolate soufflé I heard is to die for." The young man's eyes twinkled. He knew Gil's hidden chocolate fetish. "And after desert, I have another surprise."

Grissom shook his head, "Nick..."

He squeezed his lover's hand. "You take care of me all year, this is my one time you let me spoil you."

Gil grinned, "Then I'll just sit back and eagerly await the next event."

They talked about a variety of topics during the meal; Gil going into great detail over the lengthy discussion he'd had with the lecturer about a small rare species found in the South American Rain Forest. Nick hid his smirk in his napkin. The chocolate soufflé was exactly what Nicky said; to die for. Gil savored every bite and the sounds he made, soon had it difficult for Nick to get up from his seat when it was time to go.

They exited the elevator and as Gil moved towards the door, so Nick grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the lobby. Curious as to what he was up to now, Grissom followed, dodging the casino participants. They passed the lobby and headed towards the elevators. Nick pushed the call button and stood there smirking.

Once in the car, Nick leaned against the back of the elevator, a mischievous grin on his face. "I need you to close your eyes."

Gil frowned, "Nick..."

"Trust me."

He closed his eyes as asked, and felt Nick take his hand, squeezing it slightly.

"I've got you."

He was lead down a hallway and heard the unlocking of a hotel room. With the door closed behind him, Nick slipped his arms around Gil's waist and whispered in his ear. "Open."

Gil opened his eyes and gasped. The room was beautiful, the view spectacular.

"You like?" Nick asked shyly.

Grissom looked around the suite. There was a large four-poster King Size bed, placed in the middle of the room. Soft breezy translucent material flowed from each of the posts, pooling onto the ground; giving the bed an elegance and romantic element. An antique wardrobe stood on the wall opposite the bed, next to it a dark wooden desk holding all the pertinent hotel information. Past the bed was a small seating area that contained a love seat and chair. Last but not least a set of French doors accented the room perfectly, leading out to a private balcony. Gil could easily see them, having breakfast out there, just enjoying each other's company.

Gil turned in Nick's arms and kissed him softly. "It's perfect." He then pulled Nick towards the bed, slipping the suit coat from his broad shoulders. "Did I tell you that this suit makes you look hot?"

Nicky smirked, "Did Gil Grissom just say hot?"

Gil shut him up by kissing him again, his hands working to get the silk shirt off. Their passion once stirred, wouldn't be contained. Soon clothes were stripped away and Gil had his lover laid out on the luxurious bed, kissing down the hard chest, teasing each nipple with his tongue before moving down the flat stomach.

He spread Nick's legs apart exposing every inch of that tight body to hi lustful glaze. Leaning over he took the hard, leaking cock into his mouth, sucking on the head before running his tongue down the length and back up. He reached over and grabbed the lube slicking up his fingers and pushing two into his young lover. Nick moaned and pushed down on the invasion, demanding more. They were too keyed up for dragging this out. Gil lifted Nick's legs onto his shoulders and pushed into the warm heat in one hard thrust, then pulled out and pushed back in, sliding over that one spot, causing his lover to moan deeply, gripping at the bed sheets.

"Gil...." Nick moaned arching upward. "Fuck me."

Gil set a hard pace; the only sounds in the room were loud moans, flesh against flesh, and the bed squeaking with their movements. Gil looked down to see Nick stroking himself, matching each of Gil's thrusts. "I can see you're so close." He leaned down and took Nick's mouth in a deep, tongue tangling kiss.

With each strike against his prostate, Nick was closer to the edge. Gil pulled the strong legs off his shoulders and spread them wide; lifting Nick's hips as he began to pound into his lover. The added stimulus was enough to send Nick over the edge and with a cry he came, screaming Gil's name, his semen spilling all over his stomach. Gil thrust hard into the willing body and buried himself balls deep as he came with a shout.

Nick rolled onto his side curling next to his lover. "Happy Birthday, Gil."

Ever since he got together with Nick, Grissom for once in his life looked forward to his birthday. Why? Because it was the one day of the year Nick spoiled him, and then he got to return the favor the very next day.
