Challenge: 100 Drabbles – Horatio Caine/Timothy Speedle

Horatio glanced at the clock as he entered the house, it was past midnight and he was tired. He tossed his jacket onto a nearby chair and headed for the bedroom.

He paused by the office door, light was coming from under the doorway. He opened the door and stepped inside, not at all surprised to see Speed reading.

“You’re home.” Speed smiled at him as he set the book aside.

“You waited up?” Horatio leaned against the door jam.

Speed stood up and moved across the room. Horatio pulled him close kissing him softly. “Figured you could use a backrub when you got in, I know how much you hate paperwork.”

Horatio grinned. “I could use one.”

Speed grabbed his hand, flipped off the light switch and led him their room. Horatio didn’t mind working late, as long as he had Speed to come home to.
