It was a typical night at the Las Vegas crime lab. At least as typical as it could be three weeks after the DNA lab exploded and sent Greg flying head over heals into the hallway. Greg was back to work, and the DNA lab was being rebuilt. Greg was worried. Grissom had seen his hands shaking, He knew he couldn't hide it forever since he and Gil lived together and have been for the past six months, they have been involved for two years now. Still Greg has been able to hide it thus far because he hasn't been working, and has spent much of his time under the covers. He and Grissom had not been intimate since the accident, he's been in too much pain.

Grissom was having a bad night again with his hearing coming and going and he was scared. He knew he had to have surgery and he had to have it now before its too late.
Up until now he has been able to hide it, even from Greg but now he had to tell him the truth, now he had to deal with it. He was nervous though, because a CSI needs all his senses to function on the job, so what if something goes wrong? What if he looses his hearing and his job? He has been under so much stress lately what with almost loosing Greg and now he may be loosing his hearing.

Greg went home to wait for Grissom. He sat on the couch and stared at his hands, they would not stop shaking and he was scared. The doctors told him it was just stress related and would go away in time. They assured him there was no nerve or neurological damage, but in the back of Greg's mind he couldn't help but wonder if it was something worse? What if the doctors missed something? What if they were wrong? What if he lost his job over this? He pulled his knees up to his chest and put his hands between them but the shaking didn't stop and his eyes filled with tears.
Moments later he heard the key in the lock, Grissom was home. Gil stepped through the door, dropping his keys and wallet on the bookshelf just inside the door. That's when he noticed Greg balled up on the couch and crying softly. He went to him, sat next to him and gathered him into his arms.

"What is it Greg? Why are you crying?" Gil asked concerned.

"They won't stop." Greg held out his hands. "I can't make them stop and I'm scared."

"Greg, it's okay. They will stop, just give it some time. It will stop."

"Promise me."

" I promise."

Gil pulled back to look into Greg's sad eyes, he fanned his hands out in front of him and encouraged Greg to put his hands on his. Greg did and Gil laced their fingers together. Then kissed him softly before pulling away to face him again.

"Greg, I need to talk to you about something, and I don't want you to worry but I need to go to the hospital in the morning. I'm having surgery."

"On your ears?" Greg asked

"You know about my hearing loss, Greg?" Gil asked surprised.

"Well, yeah. You don't live with someone for as long as we have and not notice things."

"Why didn't you say something?"

"I figured you would tell me when you were ready ,Gil."

"I'm scared Greg, what if something goes wrong?"

"Don't worry, I know everything will be okay, we'll both be fine. Besides, Ive been learning sign language for the past few months, just in case but I know you'll be fine and I won't have to use it."

"Your amazing." Gil said with tears in his eyes. "Do you know how much I love you?"

"Yeah, but I still love to hear it."

"Sorry Greg, I know I should say it more. Ive been pretty stressed out lately, we both have."

"I understand, we've been through a lot lately."

"Let's go to bed, it's been a long night." Gil suggested.

"Your right, it has and I'm exhausted."

"Not too exhausted, I hope." Gil said with a wink."If your up to it, I don't want to rush you."

"Its okay. I want to, and I'm not that exhausted." Greg smiled "At least not yet."

They made their way to the bedroom, hand in hand. They undressed each other slowly and crawled into bed and under the covers, pulling each other close and lying on their sides so not to hurt Greg's back which was healing but still very sore. Their mouths came together in a passionate kiss. They began to slowly grind against one another, Gil wanted to take things slow for Greg's sake. Greg didn't mind, he loved the feel of their bodies rubbing together, loved the feel of Gil's cock against his own.
Gil broke the kiss and rolled onto his back pulling Greg on top of him,he gripped Greg's ass, pulling him down harder, he loved the feel of Greg's young and well toned body in his arms. He could feel the heat radiating between them, as Greg ground his hips into Gil's. They were both panting and moaning at each other's touch, their hair damp with sweat. He kissed Greg's neck and whispered into his lover's ear.

"God, Greg. You make me feel young again, I love you so much."

"You are young Gil." Greg whispered between kisses.

Greg reached between them and took their cocks in his hand and began to rock and thrust harder against Gil. Their breathing became faster and more shallow as they neared their release.

"Oh...Greg, yes....yes, you make me feel...so...so good."

Greg stared down at Gil and smiled as their bodies rocked together. Normally very vocal, Greg was quiet during sex except for occasional whispers and low moans deep in his throat. He would focus intently on the act of giving and receiving pleasure. The look of concentration and desire in Greg's eyes were enough to send Gil over the edge. Greg watched as Gil's eyes widened and he shuttered as his orgasm hit and his pulsating cock was all Greg needed and he came grunting Gil's name. Greg collapsed into Gil's arms and they lay there motionless until they caught their breath. Greg reached down and grabbed his boxers off the floor, using them to clean them both off and then tossed them away.

"Gil."

"Yes, Greg."

"My hands aren't shaking anymore."

"That's great." Gil said running his hand through Greg's hair. "All you needed was a little stress relief.."

"Yeah, you're good at that. Thank you."

"Your welcome, Now we really should get some sleep." Gil suggested.

For the first time in weeks they both felt calm and relaxed, Together they drifted off to sleep, Greg's head on Gil's chest. Gil's arms around his young lover.

The next morning Greg sat in the waiting room at the hospital waiting for news on Gil's surgery. He was taken to the operating room over two hours ago. Greg feeling anxious, got up and paced the room. Waiting was the worst part, besides he hated hospitals having recently spent time there himself. He looked up and saw Catherine walk into the waiting room, she came over to him.

"Hey, Greg. Any news yet? She asked.

"No, not yet. It's been almost three hours now, I hope everything is okay."

"I'm sure it is." She reassured him.

Moments later Gil's doctor arrived and gave them good news. The operation was a success and Gil has been taken to recovery. They could see him shortly. Greg thanked the doctor and he embraced Catherine in relief. Afterwards, Catherine said she had to leave, she just wanted to check in on Gil after her shift but she had to get Lindsey ready for school. She kissed Greg on the cheek and left.
Greg entered Gil's room and sat in a chair next to the bed, he reached out and held Gil's hand. Gil slowly opened his eyes and looked at Greg. Greg smiled at him.

"Everything went well, Gil. You're going to be fine."

"I am glad to hear that." Gil said. "And I mean that literally. Thank you for being here for me Greg."

"Where else would I be, I wouldn't let you go through this alone."

Greg leaned in and brushed Gil's lips with his own. It had been a rough three weeks and they were both relieved it was finally over, and they could get on with the rest of their lives. Taking comfort in each other was what kept them going.
