Previous story in series - The Game

Tony was outside “Leather & Cuffs”. It was one of these BDSM clubs that Tony found on the internet when he searched for one near Don’s apartment.

Tony leaned against the wall, unsure if he should go in. Then Tony remembered the day he had.

Tony had his gun cocked as he and Don went into the apartment. What he saw was just sickening, which almost made him vomit.

In front of them, there were 3 bodies in pools of blood, legs and arms chopped off. Tony had to put his hand up on the wall next to him, trying to not faint.

“You okay, Tony?” Don asked, concerned.

“Yeah, I will be.”

Tony pushed off the wall and took a deep breath before going in. He didn’t realize that someone was following him to the club and was about to approach him when Tony went in so they had to go in too.

“He didn’t do it, Mac,” Tony said. Mac looked at Tony and asked him how sure he was.

“This is like The Hangover,” Tony explained. Mac titled his head, frowning. “The Hangover?”

“You know, the movie? Where the boys woke up in the morning and found their suite trashed, and they didn’t remember what happened the night before and had to follow the trail back. It is like what we are doing,” Tony told Mac.

“You’re comparing this to a movie, Tony?” Mac was bemused.

“James didn’t do it. I’m sure that his drink was spilled at some stage.”

“But the evidence doesn’t show that, Tony. It had to be James, he was caught on the road with the axe,” Mac told him. “We have to follow the evidence, you know that.”

“Yeah, sometimes the evidence lie, Mac,” Tony stared at Mac. “I know.”

Tony sat at the bar, taking a sip out of the bottle of water. He was going to order a whiskey but changed his mind at the last minute. He needed this, and the alcohol was going to cloud the subspace that Tony needed so much.

“You were right, Tony,” Stella was surprised as she heard from Don that the girls James and his friends met at one stage during the night, had spilled the drinks at one of the bars they visited.

Tony just shrugged and went to see James.

“It will be okay, James,” Tony said to him. “We know you didn’t kill your friends.”

James looked up, hope on his face. “Really? How?”

Tony took the handcuffs off and sat at the table. “We found out that the girls spilled your drinks. It was why that you didn’t remember.”

James stared at Tony with an open mouth. “I don’t remember.”

“Yeah...we will find the killer, I promise you.”

Tony rubbed the chin and turned around. He saw that there was a play area at the other end. He jumped up and walked over to the play area, hoping to find someone who could dominate him.

Along the way, he bumped into a young boy. “You need to submit, boy?”

Tony laughed at the young boy. “I’m not your boy. You’re not strong enough for me. Leave, this isn’t for you.”

Tony walked off, laughing quietly. Suddenly he remembered the conversation with Mac.

“You shouldn’t have promised him,” Mac wagged a finger in front of Tony.

“We found him, didn’t we?”

“That’s not the point, Tony.”

Tony snorted and stared at Mac. “Don’t you make promises like that, Mac?”

“It’s not me we are talking about here, Tony.”

“Yeah, whatever,” Tony said and was about to leave, when Mac grabbed his arm and pulled him back.

“Look, you did a good job and we should have listened to you,” Mac sighed. “But you have to understand, you’re not in the NCIS anymore. Here, we follow the evidence, not our instincts.”

Tony just stared at Mac and laughed. “Well, the evidence wasn’t kind to me.” Then Tony shook Mac off and left.

Tony was hurt by how Mac treated him. He actually thought that Mac trusted him enough but it seemed to be not the case. Tony knew that Mac followed things by the book and he understood that. But Tony would’ve expected that Mac would allow room for creative ideas; for instincts.

Then he thought about Adam coming up to him.

“Look, Mac was just trying to help you,” Adam said to Tony who stared at him, furious.

“I know you’re only defending your Master, Adam,” Tony snapped at Adam. “But Mac doesn’t know what I’ve gone through. I was taught to trust my instincts. I just wish he trusted me.”

“What are you talking about?” Adam was confused. “Look, Mac trusts you. He just wants to make sure that things are done by the book, that’s all.”

Tony shook his head and pushed Adam away. “I have to go.”

It twisted his heart that Adam tried to defend Mac, to explain why Mac wanted to do things by the book. Tony thought that Adam would understand, and believe that he would make sure things were done by the book but also to allow him to trust his instincts. Instincts was all he got, all he trusted, not the evidence.

Tony sighed and closed his eyes for a moment, trying to calm down. He didn’t want to think about Adam at a time like, not when he needed to submit, to forget.

Tony opened his eyes and continued to make his way to the play area. He saw a tall man leaning against the wall, watching the play going on. He saw that the man almost looked like Gibbs and assumed that this was a Marine, just like Gibbs. He noticed that the tall man was wearing a toy belt, with a heavy flogger on one side and a single-tail whip on the other. Tony sighed, it was what he needed and was about to approach the tall man, when he felt a hand pulling him back.

“Don’t you dare,” the voice whispered from behind. “You need to come with me. We will talk when we arrive at the apartment.”

Tony turned slowly to see Don standing there.

“Don...” Tony started to say but Don put a hand up. “Don’t speak, boy. Follow me.”

Tony lowered his eyes and followed Don out of the club.

* * * *
They were outside Don’s apartment and were about to go in, when Tony put a hand on Don’s arm.

“Wait...” Tony muttered, quietly.

Don stopped and turned to Tony. “Speak, Tony.”

“I-I...what about Danny?”

Don sighed heavily. He knew that Danny wasn’t going to like his plan but he had to do it or Tony would explode. He heard about the conversation between Mac and Tony. Don knew that it hurt Tony to know that Mac didn’t trust his instincts. Don wasn’t surprised; he knew that Mac liked to follow the evidence. Don had his way of moving Mac and the team into one direction without making it clear that Don was in fact following his instincts but Tony was new and didn’t know. Then Adam came to him and told him about his conversation with Tony and said that Tony seemed to be upset and angry. Adam asked Don if he could talk to Tony and Don agreed.

When Don went to find him, he found Tony on the street outside a cafe, near their apartment. Don was about to call out when he saw Tony walking into an alley and followed him. Don was shocked when he saw Tony outside “Leather & Cuffs.” Suddenly, everything fell in place.

Don knew that Tony wasn’t himself for the last week or so and was worried about him. He talked to Danny about Tony and asked him if he should talk to him. Danny said that they should wait until Tony was ready to come to them. Don agreed, but he didn’t even realize that Tony was involved in the BDSM lifestyle. In reflection, they should’ve talked about it two and a half months ago when Tony moved in.

“He will understand,” Don turned to Tony. “Besides, he will have no choice.”

Tony looked down and nodded.

Don opened the door and gestured for Tony to go in.

They found Danny pacing the living room.

“Finally!” Danny cried. He was about to go over to Tony, when Don stopped him. Turning to Tony, he said, “Go to the bedroom.”

Tony nodded and walked to his bedroom and was about to go in when Don cried out.

“Where are you doing?”

Tony turned, confused. “But...you told me to go to the bedroom?”

“Not to that bedroom, to my bedroom...” Don said. Tony dragged his feet slowly, unsure what Don was doing.

“Now!” Don barked. Tony hurriedly went to Don’s bedroom and went in.

Danny looked at Don, his mouth hanging open.

“What’s the hell going on?”

Don sighed and went over to Danny. He planted a kiss on Danny’s forehead. “I found him in one of the BDSM clubs, Danny. He was about to submit to a stranger and I couldn’t let it to happen.”

Danny looked up and nodded in understanding.

Don smiled and stared at Danny, hoping that Danny would get what was about to happen, that it needed to happen.

Suddenly it dawned on Danny.

“Sir, are you not going...” Danny said, nervously. “Are you?”

Don nodded, sadly.

“He needs it, Danny. Don’t worry, it won’t be sexual, I promise,” Don put a hand on Danny’s face and kissed him hard.

“Y...you promise?” Danny trembled.

“I promise.”

Danny hugged Don tightly and they kissed before Danny left the apartment.

Don sighed as he put a hand on the handle and opened it slowly to see Tony standing, and fidgeting with his hands.

“What’s your safeword?” Don asked as he closed the door behind him.

“Rainbow, Sir,” Tony answered.

“Strip...and leave the boxers on.”

Tony’s eyes widened. “Don...what....”

“Strip!”

Tony blinked and started to take his clothes off but left the boxers on. Now he was standing in front of Don, confused and dazzled.

“I couldn’t let you submit to a stranger. Damnit, what if he hurt you?” Don yelled at Tony. “I couldn’t believe that you would do something so stupid!”

Tony flinched. “But...”

“Don’t speak unless I say so, Tony!”

Tony nodded and lowered his head down.

“Your limits?” Don asked.

“I-I...no scat, no watersports, Sir.”

“Shame, I would love to take you water-skiing...” Don chuckled.

Tony had to smile and bravely looked up to see Don smiling. Suddenly he knew it was going to be okay, that Don would give him what he needed.

“Okay, remember if things get intense, safeword.”

Tony made a small nod. He lowered his head once again and Don told him to kneel.

Tony dropped to his knees and waited.

“What do you need?” Don asked.

“To be whipped, to forget, Sir.”

Don nodded, silently. He walked over to the closet and took some items he felt Tony would need.

He told Tony to get on the bed and Tony climbed on the bed.

Don put the leather cuffs on Tony’s wrists and ankles and told him to turn over on his stomach. Tony did so.

Then he locked the cuffs together and brought the legs up in the air. Taking a long piece of rope, he made knots through the ankle cuffs and tied the other end to the wrist cuffs.

“Sir?” Tony whispered, puzzled. He thought he was going to be whipped; instead he was going to be tied up.

“Do you want to say the safeword, boy?”

Tony shook his head furiously.

“Then be quiet!”

Then Don rolled Tony to one side and slipped in behind him.

“Now tell me,” Don said as he held Tony’s head on his chest and stroked the hair softly.

“W...what?” Tony asked, not understanding.

“Why you went to the club, why you were weird this past week and why you came here.”

Tony realized then that Don was forcing him to tell him what was wrong with him and what happened in D.C

At first Tony struggled and refused to say anything but Don held him firmly in place.

“I’m a very patient man, Tony,” Don said. “We will stay here all night if needed to.”

Tony kept quiet but he was starting to drop into subspace and realized that Don knew what he was doing. After a few moments of silence, tears
started to fall from his eyes and Tony found himself telling Don everything from the need to submit to Gibbs himself.

When Tony finally fell asleep, Don slowly untied Tony and laid him down.

Don looked at Tony and sighed. He knew he couldn’t give what Tony needed.

Don went to the window, collecting his cell on the way and called someone he knew that would give Tony what he needed, and more.
