Title: Welcome To My Life
By: kim22
Pairing: David/Greg
Rating: NC-17
Summary: When something happens to Greg, who will be there to help? Poor Hodges, who has problems of his own, has no clue his life may change dramatically and old enemies may become close friends ... or more...

Grissom walked down the hall with one thing on his mind that night. His case. David Hodges was working tonight in the lab. Unfortunately. Greg was nowhere to be found. He rounded the corner and ran smack into the runt.

"Sanders, where have you been? You are two hours late! You better have a damn good reason for skipping off work or I'll have to fire your lazy ass."

Grissom never liked yelling at the lab tech, but he knew it was the only way he would ever learn. Recently, Greg had been acting funny, peering around corners and jumping at the slightest bit of noise.

He was also a lot more sensitive. His eyes began to water as he nervously twisted the hem of his shirt. He opened his mouth to speak, but all that came out was a sputter. He looked down and let the first teardrop fall onto the floor. Grissom's expression softened. No matter how much he screwed up, Grissom had to remember that he was just a kid. He thought of him as a son.

"Greg, I'm sorry. You've just been acting weird lately and I don't feel that you're trying your hardest. I'm sorry for yelling at you."

Greg nodded and whimpered. "I'll get to work. What's the case?"

Grissom looked at the file in his hand. " Rape case."

Greg's eyes widened. "I'll go start on it now."

Hodges was listening to Grissom yell at Greg. He smirked thinking of the look on the young lab techs face. There were times, few mind you, that he actually felt sorry for Greg. After all, he was like a big happy dog, just wanting someone to love him and pay attention to him. It was at times like these that he had to go to the bathroom and splash cold water on his face. The thought of loving Greg scared him to no end. Hodges was just not a lovable guy. Greg was polar opposite. You could love him so easy. Hodges never admitted this though. Not even to himself.

He was greeted into the bathroom by a horrible retching noise. He could smell vomit. The stall door was left ajar. David peered inside to find Greg leaned over the toilet puking his guts out. Hodges immediately sat next to him and rubbed his back. He knew all too well what it was like heaving over the toilet, feeling the bile burn his throat, sweating so much he almost blacked out. All he could do was soothe him and try to help the best he could. Greg's hands were shaking and sweaty as he heaved again, coughing and sputtering. He maintained a tight grip on the toilet seat, but he was about to slip in from sweating.

David held him and cooed, " It's ok. It's alright. I wont let you slip in."

After all his puking, he finally just dry heaved. Suddenly, weak and tired, he fell back into Hodges' arms. He took his shirtsleeve and wiped the sweat from Greg's face. " It's ok," he crooned to the shaking man in his arms. "I'll take you home."

 Greg leaned against the window of Hodges' car. He was so sick he could hardly talk. But, he had to give Hodges directions to his house. Hodges was more worried about him than he would like to admit.

"Turn here," he moaned sleepily.

David did as he was told. They turned into Greg's apartment complex and parked in the designated spot. Greg just sat there, unable to move. David got out and unbuckled Greg. He didn't know what to do. Picking him up and carrying him was the only thing he could think of. So he carried him up the stairs and into the nice apartment.

He managed his way into the bedroom and laid Greg on the bed.

Greg flinched at first, but let David take off his socks and shoes. Then his jacket was discarded. All was going fine and dandy until he tried to take Greg's shirt off.

He literally jumped off the bed whining, "No. Don't."

He was so scared that he began shaking and breathing erratically. David was shocked. Poor Greg was really frightened.

"I'm not gonna hurt you Greg. Why don't you want to take your shirt off?"

Greg looked down at the sheets. "I just don't want to." He began toying with the blanket, twisting the thin cotton in his shaky hands.

David knew there was something wrong with him. But, in his mind, he wasn't really one to talk. He quickly shook his thoughts away, because Greg needed his full attention now. Something, or worse, someone hurt him. He gulped. When, and if, Greg wanted to, he would tell him. He would stay and make sure he didn't get sick during the night.

He pulled the blanket up around his shoulders and brought him some soda. " Goodnight."
Greg was already asleep.

Lying on the couch later that night, David wondered how in two hours he went from jerk to caring friend. Guess it took having something in common; insecurities.

The room was dark and cool as Greg opened his eyes. He panicked and pulled the blankets up over his head. He whimpered until he finally realized where he was.

Home. In his own bed, sleeping. He smelled vomit and remembered he had gotten sick earlier. Hodges had taken him home. He dismissed the smell as that and got out of bed. His stomach rumbled but he didn't think he could hold anything down. Walking was a pain in his thighs.

He figured he would go sit down for a while in the living room. When he turned on the light he was surprised to see Hodges asleep on the couch. 'He must have stayed because he was too tired to leave,' he reasoned. 'No. He stayed because he wanted to make sure I was okay.'

The thought that Hodges might have actually cared about him gave him a warm fuzzy feeling that went from his head to his toes. He looked at Hodges and noticed how white he looked. His hair was messy and he had dark rings under his eyes.

Was he really that worried about Greg that he lost sleep over him? Hodges rolled over and sighed. Greg smiled in spite of himself.

Hodges' sleepy eyes opened. He managed a small grin, his hands were shaky though.
He did not look good.

"Hey. You're awake. Feeling better?" Hodges asked. Greg nodded and sat down on the end of the couch that wasn't occupied by Hodges' feet.

"Are *you* okay? You're not looking so good." Hodges smile disappeared.

"I'm fine. Just a little sleepy. I couldn't sleep last night. I was worried about you, you know." Hodges looked down suddenly, blush highlighting his cheeks. " You were really sick last night." Greg's heart skipped a beat.

"Yeah. I had a lot on my mind." Greg looked at Hodges' sock covered feet. Trying to change the subject, he added, " You want something to eat?"

Hodges looked a bit unsure. "I'm not really that hungry."

Greg looked at him. He looked thin. Too thin. He needs to eat something. "You should eat something. I know you would like my shells and cheese. I'll make us some," he said rubbing Hodges' foot as he jumped up.

They were lying on Greg's bed watching T.V. happily giggling at the show ' Mammas family'. Greg finished his food and sat the bowl on the ground. He was amazed that Hodges ate his whole bowl in two minutes flat. He was really hungry.

Hodges feet somehow ended up intertwined with Greg's. He moved carefully so that Greg wouldn't notice that he was getting up.

He slowly slid off the bed and into the hall. He knew he shouldn't have eaten all that food. He had to take care of it now before it was too late.

He walked into the bathroom and sighed. He made sure to shut the door. He got on his knees in front of the toilet and shoved one finger down his throat. He threw up.

Greg giggled at a particularly funny scene. Something didn't feel right though. He suddenly missed the warmth of Hodges' feet. He got up and left the room.

He heard a gagging noise. He cautiously opened the bathroom door. Hodges couldn't remove his fingers from his throat fast enough. He puked again and wiped his mouth on his hand.

"Greg," he said meekly.

Greg sat down and held his hand. He couldn't believe it. Hodges was bulimic.

Greg walked into his bedroom. Hodges was sleeping, the blanket falling off the bed. He wished there was something he could do to help him. He thought of calling Grissom. After all he had never dealt with something like this before.

Greg had barely been able to walk for a while. His hips hurt like hell. Greg, suddenly bored, began fiddling with the T.V. remote. Even though he really didn't want to watch anything, it was something to do and it kept his mind off Hodges.

As much as he didn't want to admit it, Hodges was actually very attractive to Greg. He had always liked older men. A small sigh was heard from his bedroom. Greg smiled as Hodges got up and padded his way to the living room.

"Greg?" he asked meekly. Greg smiled sympathetically.

"Yeah," he spoke softly. "You need something?" Hodges shook his head and sat next to Greg, not really wanting to talk; just be comforted. He laid his head on Greg's shoulder and closed his eyes. At first Greg didn't know what to think, but he quickly acted on instinct. His slow shaky hand reached out and stroked his hair and neck. He let his hand wander down his back until he realized that this gesture might appear a little forward.

"Hodges?" Greg whispered. He looked up pitifully at Greg, pressing his face even further into his neck and wrapping his arms around Greg.

"You can call me David you know," he said smugly. "I thought we were on a first name basis." Greg smiled.

"Okay, David," he said trying it out. David just hugged him tighter.

Licking his lips, Greg slid his hand under David's shirt. He was so thin. He didn't want to say anything about the day's events. Asking him about it could wait for later. David responded with a small moan that gave Greg a thrill. He was making him moan and whine!

David's hand found it's way under Greg's shirt and onto heated skin. Panic flooded through Greg's body as he jumped away. David was looking at him with utmost concern in his eyes. Not wanting to let David see him on the brink of tears, he turned his head, but to no avail. The tears flowed and Greg curled into a ball in the corner of the room.

"Greg, what's wrong," he asked slowly, already fearing the answer.

Greg gulped back sobs and responded, "I don't know what you'll think of me if I tell you," he whimpered.

"Tell me. Nothing will change the way I feel about you," David reassured him.

"I was at a friend's party and things got a little wild. One of his friends, Jacob, asked me to go outside with him to get his cigarettes out of the car. So I went and he pushed me in and locked the doors. He told me what a pretty boy I was while he pulled my clothes off. Told me I was gonna be his slut. Then he raped me." Greg was shaking now.

David just nodded and tried to keep from throwing up.

"When he was done he told me not to tell. I didn't because I was too scared he would hurt me or do it again and I didn't want to embarrass myself. That was four days ago."

David went to his side. " Did he use protection?" Greg just shook his head and sobbed.

"I know you think I'm a wuss. A crybaby. That's why I threw up yesterday."

David shook his head. "We have to get you to the hospital now." Greg nodded as David picked him up and carried him out to his car.

Greg didn't even talk as he watched out the window of the car. David looked at him every now and then, just to see if he would be okay. He looked less scared and more passive now than before.

"I'll be okay, David. You don't have to worry about me. Just keep your eyes on the road," Greg said sleepily. He blushed and returned his focus to the street. He still didn't quite believe it. He felt he was in a bad dream and couldn't wake up.

About two years ago he wouldn't have cared if Greg was hurt and scared. ' If I'm not hurt, why should I care?' He used to think that. Over the last couple of months though, he actually started to care about other people.

No one actually gave him a chance to show how he changed though. No one liked him or even wanted to try to talk to him. Except for Greg. He could have told him to leave when he woke up, but he let him stay. He liked Greg's company and it made him shiver with delight knowing that Greg felt safe with him and liked his company too.

Greg sighed and leaned his head against the window. He looked so upset. David parked the car and looked over at Greg. He was absently picking at the hem of his shirt. He seemed to do that a lot. Especially when he was nervous.

"Greg, are you ready to go inside?" David was looking at him waiting for some kind of response. When Greg looked over at him he never saw anyone look so pitiful. He looked lost, like he didn't know exactly what to do. He opened Greg's door for him and, taking his hand, led him to the hospital entrance.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~---------------------------------------------------
Greg laid his head on David's lap. He had just been checked out and was waiting to get some kind of medicine.
He thought of what the nurse said. ' I'll also go get you some pain medication, you poor dear.'
What she didn't know was that no amount of medicine would make the pain go away. Yeah, sure, physical pain, but not the emotional pain and suffering he was going through. David was slowly stroking his cheek. Right now that was Greg's only comfort.
"Mr. Sanders, here's some pain medication for you and some to help you sleep. I know there's going to be a lot of mental stress involved and I think that it is best that you try to sleep. You said you threw up and that could be due to anxiety. You should report this to the police and maybe I could recommend you to a psychiatrist if you think that might help."
Greg shook his head. " I just want to go home." The doctor nodded and gave him his prescription and they went to the car to go home.
"You don't have to stay again. I know you have better things to do," Greg told him.
"But I want to. That is if you want me there." Greg finally grinned at him.
"I would love it." David looked back at the road. A small grin spread across his face.
----------------------------------------------~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Greg and David were eating pizza on the couch. They weren't really too interested in the show on. Greg was watching David more than he was the T.V. When David looked over at him, Greg knew he had been caught.
"Whatcha looking at?" David asked, smiling. Greg giggled.
"You. Your eyes are so blue. They're really gorgeous." Greg continued smiling and David felt the heat rise in his cheeks.
"You're really gorgeous. Also I noticed the gray in your hair. I never noticed it before. I like it. It makes the blue in your eyes even more brilliant." David turned beet red.
"Thanks. I like your eyes too." The room suddenly grew really, really warm. Greg was shifting closer to him. David could feel Greg's hot breath on his face. He slowly closed the gap, pushing his moist lips to Greg's. Greg let a moan catch in his throat as he felt his lips being parted by David's eager tongue. He felt his tongue run along the roof of his mouth. They finally parted for air.
"Wow." David was stunned. Greg smiled at him again as he pulled David onto his lap. David smiled and nibbled his lower lip. "I'm glad you found me."
Greg smiled, " Me too."
'Well,' David thought as he made out on the couch, ' I guess Greg's not so lost after all.'
Outside the wind rattled the windows, but they couldn't have cared less as Greg pinned David to the couch. They were warm indoors.
Greg awoke to the sounds of a storm. Thunder rattled the house. He turned his head and grinned like a Cheshire cat. Sleeping beside him and snoring slightly was David. He remembered making out on the couch earlier. He was wondering if it was all a dream.
Suddenly a sad feeling struck him. He could still smell vomit on David's breath. They could both use a visit to the psychiatrist. David was not fat or ugly or anything else he seemed to think he was. He was beautiful. Inside and out.
Greg walked to the kitchen to get some water. All he could dream about was Jacob fucking him, telling him how pretty he was and how he was going to be his slut. David loved him and that was all that mattered. He wouldn't let anything happen to him.
David raised his sleepy head from the couch. He was still so tired. It was the typical male response post-ejaculation. Not that they tried anything, but that didn't mean that he didn't come in his pants. They made out and he had to get a little dry humping in. He smiled thinking how Greg giggled at his attempts at getting off.
" Hey David, sleep well," Greg giggled. He smirked and grabbed his waist, pulling him into his lap.
"That I did Greggo." He kissed his neck and nibbled on his ears.
Greg sighed. " What would everyone think about us?" David wished he wouldn't have asked that.
"Who knows. All I know is that I love you and want to be with you. I want this to work regardless of what Grissom says."
Greg smiled. " That was exactly what I needed to hear to make me feel better."
" You having nightmares? I heard you muttering something in your sleep. I didn't know if I should wake you or not."
"Yeah. All I could think of was Jacob hurting me. I was scared." David patted his thigh.
" It's okay now baby. I won't let him hurt you. Do you want to go to a movie?"
Greg laughed. "Very random, but sure."
------------------------------------------------------~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After paying for popcorn and drinks, they went to go find their seats. They were going to see "Man of the House".
"Tommy Lee Jones is so freaking funny. This will be good."
Greg laid his head on David's shoulder. Greg was making circles with his thumb on his thigh. About half way into the movie David reached for his hand and stroked his fingers while cooing into his ear how much he loved him, while Greg nibbled his neck a bit. David smiled, seemingly satisfied, and resumed watching the movie.
Greg laid his head back on his shoulder and held his hand. It was at that moment he heard a familiar voice come from behind them.
"Enjoying the movie?" Catherine and Grissom were sitting right behind them. Greg thought he was going to die of embarrassment.
" How long were you there?"
Catherine shrugged. " Just got here a few seconds ago. Grissom was saving me a seat while I got popcorn. We couldn't get here any earlier but we already saw it so we didn't miss anything."
Greg was mortified. He looked behind him and caught Grissom's gaze. He was looking at him with raised eyebrows.
Greg wasn't dreaming. This was a nightmare.
Walking to the car, Greg held his head down. Grissom and Catherine were right behind him talking about the movie. David was trying to be friendly but he was still a little rattled from earlier.
"Well, good night guys. See you tomorrow." Catherine got in her car and waved as she pulled away.
"I'll see you tomorrow." David made his way to the car. Greg looked at Grissom for a sign that he wouldn't tell about what he saw. When he didn't, he decided to take matters into his own hands.
"I'll catch up in a minute Dave!" Greg and Grissom stood alone in the parking lot. "I wanted to ask you about something. I, uh, um just..."
"Greg, I saw nothing. Ok." He winked and Greg smiled. As he turned to walk away, Greg grabbed his sleeve.
" Uh Grissom? I um wanted to talk to you about something else too. David, he, well has a problem and I didn't know who else to come to. He's been doing better since he's been spending time with me. I think maybe he should get some help." Grissom looked concerned.
" He's bulimic. I don't know what to do."
Grissom's eyes widened and he spoke in a whisper, " Greg, I want you to go home and get some sleep. Come straight to my office first thing tomorrow night. We'll talk about this then. Okay?" Greg nodded. "Good." Grissom patted his back and walked to his car.
-------------------------------------------------~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Greg pulled the covers over his head, he snuggled up to David's warm body. "I love you. Goodnight." David was already asleep and drooling on the pillow. Sometime within the course of the night, a vase was knocked off the counter. This was accompanied by other odd noises, the loudest of which, caused them to wake up.
"What was that?" Greg whimpered.
"I don't know. Greg go with me to the kitchen to get the phone." Greg shook his head. "Please. I'm going to call the cops. We are going to stay hidden and calm until they get here. Come on." Greg got off the bed and walked towards the door. David held his hand as they opened it slowly and walked into the dark living room.
David heard another loud noise that almost made him run back to the bedroom, but they were so close to the phone. He knew it was stupid to leave the room, but he wasn't thinking too well. He was panicking. Suddenly, he saw something move. Pushing Greg behind the end table beside the couch, he hid and prayed.
Something was in the kitchen moving slowly across the floor. They looked closer at the large mass that was sliding across the kitchen floor.
"Hey, David? It's an animal." They sighed in relief.
David looked at it. " But what the hell is it. Oh my God! It's a badger!" Greg swatted his arm teasingly.
"Calm down David. It's not big enough to be a badger. Silly."
David blinked. "Oh." He leaned in for a closer look.
"Get back! I think it's a skunk!" David laughed.
"Greg, honey, it would have sprayed us by now." Still, Greg scooted back.
Upon closer inspection, David exclaimed, " Oh my God! It's a flippin' raccoon!"
Greg laughed. "Holy shit, it is. How did it get in?" David was getting up and turning on a light revealing the 'monster animal'. It looked up at him and hid in the corner of the kitchen.
"I don't know. I guess we'll be calling animal control.
Greg got the phone and made the call.
Thirty minutes later, the raccoon was on its way back to the wildlife park. As they turned off the lights and went back to bed, Greg made an excellent suggestion, " Honey, let's get an attack dog."
Greg did as he was told. He went to Grissom for help. He told Greg he would take care of it. David would get help.
That was two months ago and now he was seeing a psychiatrist and was eating a lot more. What about him though? Would he get help? He didn't think about it very often anymore. Not since he had been living with David.
It was just a bad memory. But David seemed to be coping a lot better since getting help. Maybe Greg would feel better if he did too.
Greg sat on his couch and ate spaghetti and meatballs. Things were great between them. They rarely argued, and if they did, they never stayed mad for long. He couldn't ask for a better partner. They eventually told their friends and family they were seeing each other and that it was a really serious relationship. The gold band on his finger proved that.
They were cuddled on the couch when the phone rang. "I'll get it."
Greg ran to answer the phone. "Hello? Sanders residence."
"Hey, hey Greg. This is Max. Me, Billy and Jacob want you to come to this party tonight. It's at Mario's house." All the color drained from his face. David, sensing something was wrong, gave Greg a confused look. Greg covered the phone,
"Jacob wants me to go to a party with him. I'm so scared David. I never wanted to see him again." David's temper flared.
"Tell him you will be there." Greg looked at him completely astounded. "Just do it."
"I'll be there." He hung up the phone. David was putting on his coat. " What the hell are you doing?" He turned around. Suddenly sweet loving David was gone and pissed off Hodges took his place.
"I'm going to kill that son of a fucking bitch!" Greg's eyes widened.
"No David. Please don't!" Greg pleaded with him. David was already out the door. Greg jumped in the car with him.
They were all waiting outside for him to show. "Hey Greg some party huh?" There were drunken sluts giving lap dances and crazy shit going on. Jacob came out of the house, his long blonde hair pulled into a ponytail, smirking at Greg. His reaction was enough for David.
He grabbed him by the hair and slung him to the ground. All the partygoers gathered around the fight. "You no good piece of shit! Fuck you!" Greg was clearly shocked.
"You hurt Greg and I think you owe him an apology." He pushed his mouth into the dirt.
"What the hell? I don't need to apologize to him!" He pushed David off and swung at him. David's lip was bleeding. He jumped on Jacob and punched him.
"You know he could report you and you'd go to jail. Would you like that?" He ripped some of his hair out.
"No," Jacob cried.
"Then leave my boyfriend the hell alone you mother fucker!" And with that he slammed his head into the ground and left, shocked Greg in tow.
----------------------------------------------~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Greg grinned happily and kissed David. "Thank you. I love you." David kissed him back under the blankets.
"You're welcome. I love you too."
Greg walked to the kitchen to make some ramen noodle soup. Things had been getting better since David beat the shit out of Jacob. Greg smiled at that memory.
David would be getting home soon. He just had to find a way to preoccupy himself.
He loved him so much, that at times it scared him. He would find himself unable to wait for him to come home. He would just sit and watch the clock. Grissom made him take time off after hearing about what happened, so he just sat impatiently.
He ate his soup and walked over to the bookcase. It had been so long since he read. He pulled 'Gone With The Wind' down and began reading. If anyone found out he owned that book, he would be laughed out of the lab. He really was a romantic at heart. Another secret he hid from almost everyone.
His eyes began to close and his grip loosened. Curling up on the couch, he fell asleep.
......................................................................................................
David arrived home a couple of hours later. He put his stuff down as he walked into the living room. Greg was asleep on the couch. He smiled and sat on the end of the couch. Trying not to wake him, David kissed Greg on the neck. But soon he lost control and began to suck on his neck instead. Greg opened his eyes and smiled. "Hi honey," David said in a husky tone.
"Hi. You're home. I was starting to miss you," Greg said sleepily. David replied with a nibble on his collarbone. Greg smiled and let him taste his skin. David straddled his young lover. Greg pulled at his shirt and kissed his jaw. David could feel the bulge in his pants straining against the cotton.
Greg just continued sucking and kissing. "David, I want you so bad right now. Please make love to me." David's eyes opened immediately. Greg looked up at him with pleading puppy eyes. He sighed.
"Greg, are you sure you want this? I don't want to pressure you."
Greg looked up and smiled. "Please, please, please. I want this so badly. I want to feel you inside me. Please." David lifted him and carried him to the bedroom. He tenderly laid Greg down on the bed as he pulled a condom and a tube of lubricant out of the drawer.
Greg's face was flushed. His eyes were bright with lust. David climbed on top of Greg's shaking body. "Greg, you're shaking. Do you still want to go through with this?" Greg nodded and began unbuttoning David's shirt. He pulled Greg's shirt off gently and began working on his pants. He stopped to kiss and lick Greg's milky smooth skin. Soon Greg was naked under his eager lover. David stopped to look at his beautiful body, running his hands along his stomach.
"You want to finish undressing?" Greg was smirking as he helped take off David's clothes. He put his hands in the waistband of his boxers and pushed them to his feet, releasing David's hardened member. He kissed Greg once more before Greg rolled onto his stomach. David took a pillow and placed it under Greg's pale hips, raising him a bit. Greg looked behind him lovingly while David applied the condom and poured a nice amount of lube onto his fingers. Slowly, he placed a finger at Greg's entrance. Greg moaned and shifted as David breached his hole. One finger, then two, and finally three until Greg couldn't take it anymore.
Sensing Greg's annoyance, he used the remainder of the lube to coat his cock. He placed his hands on Greg's hips, and in one quick thrust, pushed in all the way. Greg cried out. David kissed his neck and went still so Greg could get used to him.
It wasn't long until Greg started begging for more. David slowly began moving. Greg was shy at first, but soon became quite the screamer. They found a pleasurable pace but they soon began getting quicker and more intense. With one final thrust, Greg climaxed on the pillow, spilling his cum on the sheets. David followed not too long after.
As Greg panted on the pillows, David disposed of the condom and wiped himself off on his boxers. He climbed into bed next to Greg and kissed his beautiful partner. " I love you so much Greg. I'll always be here for you." Greg shifted in his arms.
"Thanks. I love you too."
End.
