#01 – Motion

The shift in his stance showed that while he was still and focused as he gently brushed the fingerprint powder over the door handle, the slightest clue uncovered would make him spring into action.

#02 – Cool

There was nothing more refreshing than standing in front of an open freezer door when your body was overheated by excess amounts of amazing sex.

#03 – Young

“Ah, but Mozart was only twelve when he composed this and Marilyn Manson was, what, in his twenties?”

#04 - Last

“How will I survive if you are at that conference for a whole week?”

#05 - Wrong

Between its need to urinate at crime scenes and its ability to firm up whenever his supervisor walked by, Greg was certain that his penis was determined to get him into trouble.

#06 – Gentle

He was just conscious enough to discern that the flames he was fighting against weren’t real but that the reassuring strokes on his scarred back were.

#07 - One

A single, drunken, wild, wonderful night and suddenly the emptiness of his solitary life choked him.

#08 - Thousand

He gazed down at the picture of them, arms wrapped around each other and realized that, yes, it did say more than he could ever find the words to.

#09 – King

“Elvis has left the building,” Greg remarked to Gil as the murderous impersonator was led away by two uniformed officers.

#10 – Learn

“When are you going to clue in to the fact that you should never ‘bug’ an entomologist?” Greg grinned as the man inched back from the large, hairy tarantula that crept towards him.

#11 – Blur

Years are supposed to creep by slowly, not rush in a flash of smiles, laughter, fights, celebrations, anger, love, anniversaries, wins, losses, and long, deep kisses that kept you warm until the day you died.

#12 – Wait

“That’s it, baby, whine all you want, but you’re not allowed to cum until I say so.”

#13 - Change

He wasn’t sure exactly what he was giggling about: the leopard print undies that Greg was wearing or the way the coins in his pants jingled loudly when his pants dropped to the floor.

#14 - Command

He struggled as ordered; panting, writhing, gasping, eyes shut, hands clenched, trying hard not to cum.

#15 - Hold

He probably should have been more concerned about the gun pointing at him but the only thing was focussed on was the panicked look in Greg’s eyes as the man’s arm tightened around his body, backing them away slowly, using him as a shield while he attempted to make his escape.

#16 - Need

“Oh God, oh God, I’m cumming, Gil!” #17 – Vision

“If you watch very closely you’ll see a tiny flash of green when the sun goes below the horizon,” he said as he leaned back into strong arms.

#18 - Attention

He sipped his coffee slowly, eyes lingering on Gil’s body, as they moon-bathed under the stars.

#19 - Soul

“Eyes really are the windows to the soul,” Warrick thought as saw – perhaps for the hundredth time – the look of wishful adoration that Greg bestowed on Grissom.

#20 – Picture The photograph may have been cracked and faded with age but the look of love in the eyes of the two men still shone brightly.

#21 - Fool

He worked hard to bite back his grin as he watched Greg roll his eyes at Ecklie’s retreating back.

#22 - Mad

Sara took a step back, retreating from the look of pure fury in Grissom’s eyes when she made a condescending comment about Greg’s having to rely on Brass to rescue him from the perp who had taken him hostage.

#23 – Child

His wide grin, sparkling eyes and the effervescent way he described the way his cockroach crossed the finish line told Greg all he needed to know about what Gil had been like as a child.

#24 - Now

“You want us to get married WHEN?!”

#25 – Shadow

Brass sighed sadly as he watched the thin, pale, listless man concentrate on processing DNA, pretending not to hear the snide comments flung at him by the homophobic cops who walked by.

#26 - Goodbye

“I’ve been trying to get rid of you for years, but I never thought it would be because you decided to fuck a subordinate,” sneered Conrad.

#27 - Hide

“It’s not like you ever tried to conceal the way you hankered after him, Greg,” Nick said as he hugged the slimmer man after his admission that not only he was gay, he’d slept with Grissom.

#28 - Fortune

“I do believe I have uncovered hidden treasure,” he grinned mischievously as he pulled Gil’s shorts down.

#29 – Safe

Grissom was surprised at the efficiency with which Greg had stripped his clothes from him and pushed him back on the bed, grinning wickedly, as the letter confirming their HIV negative status lay discarded on the floor.

#30 – Ghost

Years later, people would say that they could still feel his joyous spirit in the lab.

#31 – Book

“There is life after the lab,” Gil said to Catherine as the two watched Greg autograph yet another copy of his bestselling novel.

#32 - Eye

“Yes, I know pirates are ‘in’ but, really, I am wearing this patch because I have a sty,” Greg repeated for the hundredth time.

#33 – Never

“What has been joined together let no man put asunder.”

#34 - Sing

The whole lab agreed that “Karaoke Night” was never to happen again after they’d been treated to Greg and Gil’s rendition of “I Want It That Way.”

#35 - Sudden

“I’ve seen this coming for years,” Al shrugged when Super Dave expressed his surprise.

#36 - Stop

“Time to let go,” Sara muttered as she angrily wiped a tear away, the lights of Las Vegas fading in her rear-view mirror.

#37 - Time

“It’s a quarter after a blowjob and a few minutes before the best sex of your life,” Greg replied.

#38 – Wash

Greg sighed because he knew, even though Monica Lewinsky hadn’t, how hard it was going to be to get that stain out.

#39 – Torn

Watching Nick struggle for hours in that horrible box were bad, but the seconds after the bomb went off in the building where Gil had gone to pay the ransom were the ones that left him in tatters.

#40 – History

Sometimes he thought about the age difference between them and the many things he’d experienced before Greg came into his life.

#41 - Power

The lights suddenly flickered on again as he licked the whipping cream which the younger man had convinced him was, out of all the things they had in the fridge, in most danger of going bad, off of Greg’s body.

#42 – Bother

“Because I don’t see why two consenting adults shouldn’t marry just because they are of the same sex,” Lindsey replied as she held out the petition.

#43 - God

“Thanks for the literature, but my ‘personal saviour’ is out back warming up the hot tub.”

#44 - Wall

His fingers clawed at it unconsciously as the rest of his body – and mind - focused on the hand stroking his rigid penis and the thick dick feverishly pounding into him from behind.

#45 – Naked

Jim sobbed brokenly on Gil’s shoulder after Greg pulled the plastic sheet away from the nude, discarded body, revealing Ellie’s bruised and battered face.

#46 - Drive

“Greg, somehow I don’t think that people want to contribute to your "Crusade to get Greg a pair of leather pants fund", no matter how cool assure them you’ll look in them.”

#47 - Harm

“The only thing destroyed by that relationship, Sara, is your ridiculous fantasy that Gil will someday turn into your personal bed warmer.”

#48 - Precious

Gazing at the walls of his office, at the evidence of a long and prestigious career, he suddenly realized that while the awards and honours were important they meant nothing when compared to the man working down the hall in the lab.

#49 – Hunger

Licking, nibbling, biting… he had never had any thing he wanted as much as the taste of Greg’s skin.

#50 – Believe

“Never doubt that I knew what I was doing when I told Ecklie where to shove his job because being with you was more important to me than any loss of stature I may face when our relationship becomes public.”
