Sofia raced up the flight of stairs and hurriedly unlocked the door. Stepping inside, she swept through the apartment, not even bothering to close the door behind her as she headed towards the rear bedroom.

"Sofia?" Sara asked from her position on the couch as she glanced away from the television to watch the detective practically sprint past her without uttering a single word.

Worried about her lover, the investigator rose from the sofa and closed the apartment door before seeking out the other woman. Sofia had always greeted Sara in one form or another whenever she'd returned home and, even on her bad days, the blonde would rant and rave as the brunette patiently listened, offering support whenever she could get a word in edgewise.

The sound of running water had Sara detouring into the large bathroom, and she stopped dead in her tracks when she saw her lover behind the shower door, steam fogging up the glass and billowing over the top. Fear filled the investigator when she noted her lover's blurry movement as it appeared that she was scrubbing her skin roughly.

"Oh God, no," Sara whispered, her thoughts running wild with the possible implications.

Gathering her courage, the brunette walked towards the door and opened it wide. Sofia grimaced as she looked into her lover's worried eyes.

"Ugh, I can't believe him. He actually flirted with me. I just had to come directly home and try to wash off the image," Sofia explained, not missing a beat as she ran the washcloth over her firm breasts and down her taut abdomen.

"What? Who are you talking about?" Sara asked, her heart slowly removing itself from her throat.

Shaking her head in disgust, Sofia replied, "The Undersheriff. It was awful, Sara. He made my skin literally crawl. I thought with enough soap and water, I could dispel the mental picture I have of him, or, at the very least, make it cleaner. But, I don't think there's anything I can do to get rid of it."

Grinning widely, Sara stripped out of her clothes and stepped into the shower, closing the door behind her. Maneuvering her lover against the tiled wall, she purred, "Maybe I can help you with that."

"Oh, yeah?" Sofia whispered, just as Sara leaned down and captured her lips.

The investigator had every intention of giving her lover a new image to think about the next time she saw the disgusting man and, judging from the sounds Sofia was making, Sara was quite certain her lover would be smiling broadly when she finally set eyes on the asshole again.
