Mike frowned as he headed down the corridor of the Tardis that led from the bedroom he shared with the Doctor to the control room. The Time Lord must be there; he could hear loud music, so that was indicator of where his lover was.

Why was the Doctor playing a very cheesy song from the 80s? Mike thought, his frown deepening. This wasn't like the man he knew; the Doctor loved music, but this didn't seem like his style. Maybe he was just in a strange mood today.

Or maybe it wasn't him playing the music after all, a little voice piped up in the back of Michael's mind. There could be someone else on the Tardis, someone who the Doctor had picked up. Someone who had a taste for cheesy music from more than twenty Earth years ago.

When he emerged from the corridor into the control room, Mike had to blink a few times to be sure that he was seeing what he thought he was. This couldn't be right. He was having a bizarre hallucination. Or he had stepped into the Twilight Zone.

The Doctor was dancing around the control room of the Tardis to a Rick Astley song that was booming from some hidden source. The music was so loud that Michael could almost swear he felt the ship shaking -- but maybe that meant that she was enjoying it.

It wasn't only the fact that the Doctor was dancing around the room -- it was what the Time Lord was wearing that had captured Mike's attention. Or, to be more accurate, it was what he wasn't wearing that his boyfriend couldn't stop staring at.

The Doctor was completely naked -- save for a bright pink feather boa that was wrapped around his neck. Michael couldn't help wondering if his lover was drunk, or if he was under some sort of strange spell that made him seem as if he'd lost his mind.

Or maybe he was just having a good time, Mike told himself, taking a tentative step forward into the room. If that was the case, then he would write this off as the Time Lord merely letting off a little steam. It looked to him as if that was the most likely explanation.

He didn't know what to think of what he was seeing. He'd seen the Doctor act a little odd before, but this was something beyond his comprehension. How could he find the words to describe what he felt at the sight he was watching?

It was a bit disturbing to see his lover behaving like this -- but seeing the Doctor dancing around naked was also one of the sexiest things he'd ever witnessed. He almost wanted to strip off his own clothes and join his lover in moving to the pounding beat.

No, he wasn't going to strip naked, Mike told himself, a smile curving his lips. But he would certainly join the Doctor -- after all, having the man he loved in an au naturel state was an opportunity that he couldn't make himself pass up.

The Doctor turned as Michael walked into the control room, abruptly stopping his movements. "Mike! What are you doing here?" he asked, his dark eyes widening. He was obviously somewhat embarrassed to be caught at what he'd been doing.

"I could ask you the same thing," Michael replied, his eyes twinkling. He wanted to laugh aloud, but that seemed rude. After all, the Doctor was a man of grace and beauty, and Mike had been enjoying the sight of him dancing naked.

"I was getting dressed, and ...." the Time Lord's voice trailed off, a pink blush creeping into his cheeks. "I suppose I got a bit carried away," he added ruefully, trailing a hand down the pink feather boa. "I was hoping that I wouldn't wake you."

"You didn't wake me," Michael said softly, his eyes not leaving the Doctor's face. "I just wondered where you were -- and when I got partway down the hall, I heard the music and had to come in here and see just what you were up to."

"I don't usually do things like this," the Doctor hastened to tell him. "But I was playing a bit of music -- much more softly than this, may I add -- and the spirit moved me to dance. I simply happened to be naked at the time and didn't feel like tossing on clothes."

"That's not a problem at all," Mike told him, sliding his arms around the Doctor's waist and pulling the other man close against his body. "In fact, when I first came in, I was thinking how much I like seeing you without any kind of adornments."

The Doctor laughed as he lifted the pink boa and teased Mike's nose with it. "Well, just this. It was there, so I grabbed it. It adds a bit of color, don't you think?" His dark eyes were sparkling, his smile lighting up his face. It was obvious that he was in a very good mood.

"You definitely don't need any help when it comes to looking good." Michael's hands moved down the Time Lord's back to cup his ass; the Doctor's eyes widened in surprise, then he relaxed and leaned against Mike, his own arms moving around his lover's waist.

"So, would you care to join in the dance? Or would you rather that I join you in another room?" he asked, his voice suddenly soft and husky. Mike knew just what the change in tone meant; he didn't need to be asked twice what his preference would be.

"At least you won't have to take off any clothes when we get there," he whispered into the Doctor's ear, a wicked grin spreading across his face. "But I think we'll leave the feather boa behind, eh? Unless you want me to tie you to the bedposts with it."

"That could be very interesting indeed," the Doctor murmured, pulling the boa off and tossing it across the room. "But I think we'll wait for another day to try that. And I have some silk scarves that I think might work a bit better for that scenario."

Michael nodded, trying to keep from laughing. This was an odd turn of events, he mused as he loosened his grip on the Doctor's waist and turned to lead the other man down the hallway. He certainly hadn't expected to wake up to something like this.

But life with the Doctor would more than likely always be indescribable, he thought with an inward smile. It was certainly different from what he'd always thought he would be doing -- and he wouldn't change a single moment of this life for any reason.
