This was everything he could wish for, Jamie told himself, looking down at the man beneath him as his hips thrust forward. The Doctor cried out, his body arching upwards, his nails digging into the flesh of Jamie's back, though he hardly felt the pain.

How could he feel pain when being with the man he loved in such an intimate way was the greatest pleasure he could possibly imagine? There was no pain in the world that could tear his mind and body away from what the Doctor made him feel.

He had never known passion like this, never even known that it was a possibility. Of all the memroies that were in his Time Lord brain, there had never been one like this -- which meant that the Doctor had never experienced passion like this, either.

Jamie couldn't help feeling a little smug about that -- of all the lovers that the Doctor had been with in the past in all of his other incarnations, he had never known the kind of passion they shared. The two of them were special, even in such a long and varied life.

He gasped as the Time Lord's inner muscles tightened around him; it would only be a matter of moments until his body couldn't hold back any longer, until he had to let himself go, to leap from the precipice that he was dangling over and fall to the ground.

With anyone else, that fall might be frightening -- but with the Doctor, Jamie had no doubt that he would land on the ground as softly as a feather, cradled in the safety and security of his lover's arms. The Doctor would always be there to catch him when he fell.

His hips thrust forward once more -- and then he was flying through the clouds, lifted on the crest of a wave that seemed to take him higher and higher into the stratosphere before it set him down gently again upon the earth, waves of pleasure washing over his body.

Jamie rolled over onto his side, reluctant to lose even one second of contact with the Doctor, but not wanting to stay in a position that might be uncomfortable for the Time Lord. It only took a moment for them to be in each other's arms again, both of them sighing contentedly.

"It gets better every time, doesn't it, love?" the Doctor asked, his voice soft and husky. He raised a hand to stroke his fingers through Jamie's hair, his dark eyes sleepy and sated. "I wouldn't have thought that was possible, but you always manage to surprise me."

"I didn't think it was possible for two people to have such passion between them," Jamie murmured, a slight flush rising to his cheeks. He still hadn't gotten used to all of the compliments that the Doctor showered him with; to him, they seemed excessive.

"I've never known the kind of passion that I have with you," the Doctor whispered, his hand resting on Jamie's cheek, then moving to trace the outline of his lips. "I'd not have thought that it was possible either, not after nine hundred years of never finding it."

"I could never give this up," Jamie said, feeling a lump rise in his throat. He had to swallow hard before he could speak again; the thought of losing the Doctor, of never feeling this way again, made him feel as though his heart was breaking. "Thank you for not giving me up."

"I could never give you up, Jamie," the Doctor told him, his voice slightly unsteady, as though he, too, was on the verge of tears and could barely hold them back. "I might have thought so at the very beginning, but now .... that will never happen."

"Can you imagine us getting to a point where we don't have this kind of passion between us any more?" Jamie asked, his voice returning to normal as he turned his thoughts onto a brighter path. "I can't. I think we'll always be like this, even when I get old and grey."

"Ah, when you start to get older and grey a bit around the edges, I'll be even more passionate about you," the Doctor assured him, his dark eyes sparkling. "Older men can be incredibly sexy, you know. And I have no doubt that you'll be just that."

Jamie didn't answer those words; he only pulled the Doctor closer against him, capturing the Time Lord's mouth with his own in a kiss that took both mens' breath away. The passion between them rose again, sweeping them away into a world where only the two of them existed.
