Mick looked up at the numbers on the elevator, wishing that it would move faster. He hadn't seen Josef all day, and he was looking forward to having an uninterrupted evening with his boyfriend and letting all of his worries slip away from him.

The case he was working on had been giving him headaches all day, but he could feel those problems starting to recede as the rising elevator took him closer to Josef's penthouse. All he could think of was that within a few minutes, his boyfriend would be in his arms.

Josef had been on his mind all day, from the moment he'd left the penthouse this morning until this very moment. Even when he'd been trying to focus all of his concentration on the case he was working, the other man had been in the back of his mind.

Maybe Josef wasn't good for his concentration, but thinking about his lover made his day a lot brighter, Mick thought to himself, smiling as the elevator stopped and the doors slid smoothly open with a slight whoosh, inviting him to step out.

He did so and made his way down the hall to the front door, knowing that Josef would more than likely be waiting for him. He'd knock first, and if he didn't get an immediate answer, he'd use his key -- even if he was sure that Josef could already sense his presence.

Stopping in front of the door, he knocked, then listened. He couldn't hear anything stirring inside, but he was sure that Josef was there; he could sense that Josef was somewhere near. Besides, he knew that Mick was on his way; he wouldn't have gone out.

No, he hadn't gone out. Mick was sure of that. If he closed his eyes, he could sense his lover's presence in the penthouse even more sharply, even though it was a little distant. Mick smiled at that thought; Josef was obviously in the bedroom, waiting for him.

Using his key to unlock the door, he entered the penthouse, making sure that the door was locked behind him. He shot the bolt, just in case; he definitely didn't want the two of them to be disturbed at any time during the evening.

Pulling off his shirt, he made his way slowly to the bedroom, knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that his boyfriend would be there, waiting impatiently. The thought of Josef in their bed quickened his steps and made his heart race in his chest.

Mick wasn't sure just what he expected to see, but the sight that greeted him as he stepped to the doorway of Josef's bedroom hadn't been what he had in mind. Not that it was an unwelcome sight at all -- simply one that he hadn't imagined in his wildest dreams.

Josef was already naked in the huge bed, his thin, pale body stretched out on the midnight blue sheets. One arm was behind his head, the other hand resting on his stomach, as though he'd been passing the time by exploring his own body as he waited.

That thought was enough to make Mick's pulse jump wildly; his hands fumbled at his belt buckle, quickly unzipping his jeans and pushing them down his narrow hips. He stepped out of the confining fabric and approached the bed, his eyes drinking in the sight presented to his gaze.

He'd always thought that Josef was an incredibly attractive man, from the first time that they'd met -- but he'd never realized just how beautiful his lover was until the first time he'd viewed the other vampire naked. Josef wasn't simply attractive; he was magnificent.

The backdrop of midnight blue silk set off that pale skin to perfection; Mick's gaze roamed over the slender body stretched out in front of him, drinking in the sight as though he was a man dying of thirst in a desert and Josef was an oasis that he'd stumbled into.

Josef's gaze met Mick's, his eyes holding a promise that didn't need to be expressed in words. Without a sound, Josef held out his arms to Mick, and the other man sank down onto the bed, wrapping his arms securely around his boyfriend and pulling him close.

"I've been thinking about you all day," he whispered into the shell of Josef's ear, nibbling gently at the tender lobe. "I couldn't get you out of my mind, even when I should have been thinking about the case. You're addictive, do you know that?"

"Well, there are a lot worse things that you could be addicted to," Josef laughed, his arms sliding around Mick's waist. "I've been thinking about you, too. Couldn't get you out of my head all day. I think we might just be addicted to each other."

"That's a sweet addiction to have," Mick whispered, raising a hand to trace his fingers along the strong line of Josef's jaw. He loved the slight stubble his fingertips found there; there was something so utterly masculine about Josef, despite his fragile appearance.

Without giving Josef any warning, one hand moved down, long fingers wrapping around his boyfriend's cock. Josef moaned and arched his back, pushing his hips forward; Mick smiled contentedly, knowing that he had his lover right where he wanted him.

Shifting his position slightly, Mick turned over onto his side, Josef still in his arms. His hand didn't leave the other man's cock; he couldn't make himself relinquish one touch now that he had his boyfriend in his arms. He'd been craving this contact for far too long.

All he wanted to do was lose himself in the man beside him, to melt into Josef's body until the two of them were united as one entity. He wanted to sink into pure sensation, giving himself up to an addiction that he never wanted to find a cure for.

Judging from Josef's soft moans and the way the other man was embracing him, his boyfriend had the same thoughts in his mind. Mick pulled Josef closer, brushing a kiss across those seductively parted lips as the rest of the world faded into obscurity.
