Ianto Jones was falling apart. Little by little, piece by piece, he was disintegrating before their eyes. Each day, another small shard was lost to the pain and darkness of his life in Torchwood. The others stayed close, protecting him from the worst excesses of their world, trying to share the hope and the light, ready to catch him should he stumble and fall. But they could not keep him whole. They could only stand by, watching and waiting and hoping - hoping that Jack would return in time to pick up the pieces and put him back together again.
