After meeting Jack, Martha isn't sure whom she wishes to hate more – Rose or Jack.

She was sick of hearing about Rose, about how perfect she was, how funny, how blonde. Mostly, she hated the tone of voice The Doctor used when talking about Rose, because it wasn't about her.

But she wants to hate Jack, too, because even though he shares the same voice for Rose, the way he talks about The Doctor makes her stomach churn in anger too.

The worse part about it it is that sometimes, when they think that no one is looking, Martha sees the looks Jack and The Doctor send hopelessly at each other.

She wonders how Rose fit into the equation, and who she would end up sympathizing with in the quest for The Doctor's love. She tries not to think about it too much, but sometimes she just can't help it.

In the end, she decides she likes Rose less, because at least if The Doctor chooses Jack, then she can blame his lack of interest on her gender.

And after watching Jack and The Doctor flirt, she wonders why she can't bring herself to hate The Doctor in all of this.

La fin.
