"Wouldn't it be easier to just walk back to the Tardis and use her to get where we're going?" the Doctor asked, balking at the idea of taking a cab anywhere. "Cars are so slow, Jack. I know we don't want to attract too much attention, but ...."

His voice trailed off as Jack threw him that insouciant grin that he always used when he had some sort of plan in his mind that he knew the Doctor wouldn't approve of. "Just what are you thinking of doing? I know that look." The Doctor shook his head, unable to keep back a smile.

"You'll see when we get into a cab." Raising his arm, Jack hailed a large yellow taxi that was progressing slowly down the street; he grinned at the Doctor again as it pulled over to the curb, reaching out to open the door and standing back to let the Doctor get in first.

The Time Lord cast Jack an inquisitive glance as the immortal slid in beside him and closed the door, giving the cab driver their destination. "Might as well settle back and relax, Doc," he said, draping an arm ovr the Doctor's shoulders. "We've got a pretty long way to go."

"That's why I didn't want to take a cab!" the Doctor exclaimed, his brow creasing in a frown of frustration. "It's going to take a long time to get across the city. But for some reason, that doesn't seem to bother you. What trick have you got up your sleeve, Jack Harkness?"

"No trick," Jack told him, turning to look at him with an expression of wide-eyed innocence that the Time Lord knew better than to believe. "I just thought we could do something interesting to pass the time." He gestured to the cab driver, and the man nodded.

Without a sound, a barrier came down between the driver and the back seat; the realization dawned on the Doctor that he and Jack couldn't be seen by anyone, as the back windows seemed to have been covered as well. He turned to his lover, brows raised in question.

Jack grinned again, wrapping his arms around the Doctor's waist and pushing him down on the seat of the cab. The Time Lord let out a sharp gasp when Jack's hand began to work at his belt buckle; it suddenly dawned on him just what his lover intended to do.

"Jack! You can't do that here!" he protested, though in truth, he found the prospect quite exciting. There was something about sex in a semi-public place that made it alluring, more stimulating than it would be if they were alone in their bedroom.

"Oh, really? I can't?" Jack was smiling now, his gaze moving down the Doctor's body as he pulled the Time Lord's trousers down to his knees. The Doctor's cheeks flushed with embarrassment; just thinking of what Jack intended to do had already made him hard.

"Well .... it looks as though you can ...." the Doctor murmured weakly, knowing that no matter how much he might protest, Jack would talk him into this. And really, he didn't want his lover to stop now that he was half-undressed. It was too late to turn back now.

He closed his eyes, hearing Jack take a breath and feeling rather than seeing the other man lower his head. Mere seconds later, he felt that warm, soft mouth close around the tip of his cock, taking his length slowly into that wet, welcoming warmth.

The only pleasure greater than this was actually having Jack inside him, he thought -- just as he felt one finger pressing against his entrance, then sliding into him with only a slight burning sensation that wasn't entirely unpleasant.

The Doctor arched his back, pushing his hips upward as Jack's mouth moved down, taking all of his length into that warm mouth. He wanted to make this last as long as possible, but he was already at a fever pitch of desire, and he knew that it wouldn't.

What was it about Jack that could arouse him this quickly? Gallifreyans weren't inherently sensual; it had to be his human side that responded to eagerly to the immortal's touch, the Doctor thought as he raised his hips again, a soft moan escaping from his throat.

Jack's tongue swept over the sensitive head of his cock before that mouth moved down again, enveloping him in a warmth that he wouldn't have dreamed possible if he hadn't felt it. He'd only be able to hold back for another few seconds; he could already feel his orgasm building deep within him.

That insistent finger was probing him, curling against his prostate, sending a wave of pleasure washing through his entire body. If Jack kept this up, he would come before he even realized what was happening and probably surprise both of them.

Only another few moments .... The Doctor cried out as the beginnings of his climax rose to the surface, his hips flexing against Jack's face, his hands curling into fists. He didn't want to cry out, but it wasn't possible to hold the sound back.

His body was trembling in Jack's arms, waves of pleasure sweeping over him with an intensity that he hadn't expected. He could hardly catch his breath; he was gasping, his senses reeling, the motion of the cab adding to his disorientation.

Jack let the Doctor's cock slip out of his mouth at the same time that his finger slid out of the Time Lord's body, sitting up and smiling at the other man. "There are lots of things you can do to pass the time in a cab," he whispered, winking at his lover. "You've just discovered one of them."

"If that's the least of what you can do, I'd hate to see the most intense way to spend time," the Doctor managed to gasp, reaching for his trousers to pull them up. He waited for a few moments to let Jack wipe away the semen on his belly before buttoning them and sitting up slowly.

"I think we're going to discover a lot of other random acts of interest at some point," Jack said with a soft laugh, sliding an arm around the Doctor's waist and pulling the other man close to him. The Doctor snuggled against his lover, not feeling like talking at the moment.

One thing he could say for Jack -- the immortal never failed to surprise him, the Doctor thought, glancing at Jack's profile as the other man tapped on the partition between themselves and the cab driver. The barrier went down, as did the shades on the windows.

"Looks like we're here," Jack said as the cab slowed to a stop, reaching for his wallet to pay the driver. The Doctor slid across the seat to get out of the cab, blushing as he caught sight of the small smile on the driver's face and wondering just what the man was thinking.

It was better that he didn't know, he told himself with an inner sigh. No matter what he'd heard, at least he hadn't actually seen what was happening. That was some small consolation -- even though it had been exciting while it was happening, he wouldn't have wanted any witnesses!

Jack grabbed the Doctor's hand as they exited, closing the door firmly behind them. As the yellow cab pulled way from the curb and melted into the stream of traffic, the Doctor could have sworn that he heard a knowing chuckle coming through the window from the driver's side.
