John was waiting at the rendezvous point, looking bored, but sexy as ever.

"Did he buy it?" John asked, as Jack shook off his feigned grief.

"Of course he did."

Ianto was addicted to the illusion of love and Jack had given him the ultimate fix.

"And Gwen?"

"That remains to be seen."

Gwen was like an emotional polygraph, but she was also a romantic. The point of the whole exercise was to fool himself enough to convince her when the time came for 'the talk.'

"And everyone thinks you're the good one."

That was the biggest con of all.
