The Doctor looked up at Josef, a wave of panic rising within him. Was he doing the right thing to let this man make love to him? Josef wasn't like any other man he'd known; he was a vampire, someone who might not have a safety net if things got out of control.

No, a firm inner voice told him. Josef isn't going to hurt you. Get that thought out of your mind right now. There was no reason for him to feel afraid, no sense in having second thoughts. He was here, he was with Josef -- and he wanted this man.

He'd fallen for Josef from the first moment their eyes had met; he had felt a dizzying rush that he'd only felt a few times before in his life. He knew what he wanted -- and he knew what that dizzy, lightheaded feeling was. It was love, or at least the stirrings of it.

It wasn't often that he felt such a strong attraction to anyone, and he wasn't sure just why his hearts had leapt to attention when he'd first seen Josef. But he knew enough to follow his hearts; he trusted them, even though they might not always know what was best.

He had already set his feet upon this path, from the moment that he'd invited Josef to see his home. There was no turning back now; he would have to put his hearts and his life into this man's hands and give over his trust. He had already made the choice to do so.

"Make love to me," he whispered, his voice only slightly shaky. "I want you, Josef." His arms were still around Josef's neck; he gently pulled the other man down for a heady kiss that made his head swim and his body tighten in immediate reaction.

"Your wish is my command," Josef replied, his own voice soft and husky. "Don't be scared, Doctor," he added, his words barely a whisper. "I'm not going to hurt you. Just because I have to drink blood to survive doesn't mean that I can't control myself, even when I'm making love."

"I trust you," the Doctor murmured, feeling that he was taking a risk by saying the words. The truth was, there was still a part of him that felt wary -- but he wasn't going to tell Josef that. He wanted this man too much to give Josef reason to stop what they had begun.

He closed his eyes as he felt the bed shift slightly; Josef was obviously reaching for the bedside table, opening the drawer and searching for lube. There was a tube there; the Doctor could tell when Josef found it from the sound of the cap popping open.

Only another few moments now .... He sucked in his breath as Josef spread his thighs with one hand, those long fingers soft and cool against his skin. Then Josef's other hand was between his legs, fingers gently probing, stroking over his entranace.

The Doctor's hips arched up as first one finger, then a second, slid inside him; he let out a soft moan at the feel of those fingers gently scissoring within his body, stretching him, sliding deeper into him to stroke gently over his prostate, sending a wave of desire coursing through his body.

Those long fingers slid in and out of him, probing deeper with each entry, bringing another soft moan to his lips. What did Josef intend to do, tease him all night like this? He needed more than just two fingers inside him; he needed to feel Josef's cock pushing into him.

As though the other man sensed his thoughts, Josef slid his fingers out of the Doctor, pushing the Time Lord's legs up against his chest and positioning himself between the other man's thighs. Their eyes met for a moment, their gazes locking as Josef pushed his hips forward.

The TIme Lord's body arched upwards again as Josef entered him, a soft cry torn from his throat. He hadn't expected Josef to be so ..... well, so big. It had been a long time since anyone had been inside him; it would take him a few moment to get used to being filled.

But it felt good, better than this intimate act had ever felt with anyone else. It was almost as though Josef had been made for him; after the first few seconds of uncertainty, their bodies seemed to become accustomed to each other, fitting together like hand in glove.

Within moments, they had established a slow, steady rhythm; the Doctor's hips rose to meet Josef's thrusts, their gazes locked on each other, each man's breath becoming more and more ragged and uneven with each passing minute.

Josef grasped the Doctor's wrists, pulling his arms above his head; the Time Lord struggled for a moment, then relaxed, letting his lover hold him down. Josef bent his head, his lips trailing fire down the Doctor's throat, sharp teeth nipping at his bare shoulder.

That nibbling should have made him freeze, should have made him wonder if Josef would take it further and let his fangs come out. But it didn't; instead, his body reacted with a slight shiver, a soft sigh leaving his lips unbidden before he realize that he'd uttered a sound.

"I won't bite you," Josef whispered, his words faint in the Doctor's ear. "I just want to taste your skin. I want to know all of you. I want to know how you feel in my arms, how you taste when I kiss you, how your body goes tight around me when you come."

The Doctor's hearts sped up in his chest at Josef's words; that was what he wanted to know of the other man, too. He wanted to make love to Josef, just as Josef was making love to him now. He wanted to be inside this man, to know him in every possible way.

But that would come later; right now, Josef was making him feel the most incredible pleasure that he'd ever experienced. Not even Jack Harkness, with all of his much-vaunted sexual prowess, had ever been this good. No one had ever made him feel like this.

"If you did, I'd fall in love at first bite," he whispered, opening his eyes with an effort to look up at the man above him, the man who was making love to him, buried more deeply inside him with each hard thrust. "I'm already in love with you," he added, his voice a mere breath of sound.

Josef's answer to those words was to lower his lips to the Doctor's, capturing the Time Lord's mouth in a kiss that took his breath away and made words impossible. All he could do wrap his arms around Josef's neck and give himself up to the mounting pleasure within him.

He was close to the edge; he could sense that Josef was, too, and he couldn't help but wonder if vampires had the same kind of sexual longevity that Time Lords did. Had he finally found someone who had the stamina to make love more than once or twice in a night?

He'd find that out later; right now, he was more interested in making sure that they both reached the apex of their pleasure. His hips bucked up again as Josef thrust into his body one last time, his climax sweeping over him with an intensity that made him cry out.

The pleasure that overtook him was a searing, white-hot river of molten lava; he was drowning in it, unable to speak, unable to move. Yet he didn't want to come up for air; he only wanted to sink into this pleasure, let it carry him wherever it chose, buoyed in his lover's arms.

Dimly, he heard Josef's cry of pleasure as the other man's body spasmed against his own; it had only taken Josef a few seconds longer to reach his climax. The Doctor's arms tightened around his neck even as his legs squeezed Josef's sides, holding the other man close against him.

It took a few moments for Josef to pull out of him; when he did, the other man rolled off the Doctor and onto his side, pulling the Time Lord against him and running a gentle hand down his back. The Doctor snuggled into Josef's embrace, his own thin arms still securely wrapped around his lover.

"I told you I wouldn't bite," Josef murmured, his lips soft and warm against the Doctor's cheek. "I know it's hard to believe that a vampire isn't always out for blood, but this one isn't. Sometimes I'm out for sex. Or ...." His voice was hesitant when he continued. "Or love."

"My love is something you've had since we first met, I think," the Doctor whispered, raising a hand to stroke Josef's cheek. "I wouldn't have thought that I could fall so hard that quickly, but maybe it's your vampire charm that drew me in and won't let me go."

"Do you want it to let you go?" Josef asked, quirking a brow. "I think it's your Time Lord charm that's grabbed hold of me. And that's not letting me go, either. So it looks like we're both caught, even if there's a part of us that might be a little scared of feeling that way."

"I don't want that feeling to ever let me go," the Doctor told him with a smile. "And even if you had bitten me, I'd have fallen head over heels in love at first bite. At this point, I think you could do anything you wanted to me and I wouldn't mind it."

"I'll never bite you -- unless you ask for it," Josef said, his voice and expression serious. "I mean it, Doctor. I'm not some bloodsucking monster. I've got feelings -- even though I don't usually like to admit to that. And they're pretty much wrapped up in you."

"As mine are in you," the Doctor murmured, closing his eyes and resting his head against Josef's chest. "If there comes a day when you do bite me, Josef, it'll be by mutual consent. I know that you'd never do anything against my will. I trust you with that."

And he did trust Josef. All the doubts and fears he might have had about falling for a vampire had disappeared, leaving behind only a feeling of optimism and anticipation for the future that he was sure the two of them would build. A future that held all kinds of promises for both of them.

Smiling, the Doctor curled into Josef's embrace, heaving a sigh of contentment. He didn't know exactly what that future might hold, but he knew that he was going to walk into it with Josef at his side and in his hearts, the two of them standing together to face whatever life might bring.
